Buc it is nice to hear good things being said about our safeties......now lets hear something good about our corners......

I hope our safeties are "getting it" because they were horrible last year. Our corners are much better than our safeties (imo). We have some decent corners with a lot of potential.....the safeties are our weakest position.

They NEED to "get it".

Buc over the past 2 seasons our cover guys have been beaten badly many many times......I think it was the Wille M attitude of the bend but don't break type D.....not to mention the missed tackles and letting the opposing running game get outside of the our LB's and the corners and safeties failing to make the play in the D backfield.......just this past season 3 games come to mind....Carolina....Lattimore ran over our D backs numerous times.....Ms. State well you know what I have said about that more than once......and Auburn......they beat us badly downfield as did the Razorbacks.....

Lakatos is an unknown too early to tell about him......but CTG is not an unknown and I don't think he will put up with his DB's being failures.......or his coaches for that matter.....the Willie M attitude I think is a thing of the past at least I hope so.......2nd year for CTG make or break for CMR.....

as for laying it out......I would rather the coaches do that and I will tell you if i agree or not

This post is one of the reasons that I feel I belong here. Amazes me that some of the folks that do the one liners on other sites call themselves supporters of UGA. I guess that they are supporters, just supporting a different way than I choose too. Folks like you ogredawg are worth 100 of the others. First my butt . . . . . :)

You know its bad when every time you see an opposing team throw against our secondary and the majority of us cover our eyes while the ball is in the air. That use to be my thinking anyway while watching the past years whenever we played quality opponents. Every year I cannot wait for the boys to take the field, just like everyone else here, but with it being the second year for CTG I believe our D could have a break out year. Really feeling like the second half of 2007 where the BCS was too scared to put USC against us. I hope we do not even need our secondary because of the linebacking core and D-front dominating. I know that is pretty wishful thinking, but I'm ready for the continous replays of AO and JJ plowing through opposing QBs. I cannot agree with you guys more on CJT being the best offseason move in the past couple of years since the letting go of WM. It seems as if everyone has finally came together as a team again unlike the past 3 years, excluding last year. Think it was SD that spoke of CMR pushing more plays and correcting MB so we are not given away before we snap the ball...spot on SD. I check this site everyday that I can whether on my phone or pc, you guys keep me going from january to december. Really appreciate the inside information that everyone can provide us. I am hoping that my daughter will be well come next saturday so I can be between the hedges. By the way...where is good parking??

Plain and simple for 2011...WIN

Buc again Thank You for the kind words........I have been on this board for 4 years now and it is the only one I frequent on a regular basis.......and it is because of Dawgs like you, wlayton, kentdaddy, sadlerdawg, oldsouthdawg and yankeedawg et al.....who say what they FEEL honestly......I would not have it any other way......

Now I see we have had a rash of injuries to our LB's and safeties.....Commings has been moved back to safety.....I know it is spring but it looks like our lack of depth in the D backfiled is showing some what......it seems we are gong to need some of the new pups coming in to step in and add some depth and possibly get some Frosh playing time....

Think the link below shows some cred to the statement made in this thread earlier. Love it when we are "close" to right. . . . This thread started 2 weeks ago.
:)

Gaithers and Jenkins, Jenkins and Gaithers . . . I would hate to be the offensive center that takes a pounding from both of these guys for an entire game. Maybe both in the game at the same time on certain situations, who knows. These two along with two huge defensive ends sure puts a strain on the running game. Jenkins (6-foot-4, 340-pounds), Gaithers 6-6 350, supposedly Kwame has lost some of the "baby fat".
