The way it is worded is a little outrageous, however, Richt will get another coaching opportunity at a BCS school. Now, I don't believe he is No. 1 on anybody's list, but I would just about guarantee, he would not have too much trouble finding another job. Probably not in the SEC, but he would be a head coach again. Why wouldn't a school hire him? I mean auburn hired Chizik. Look at his record as a HC before getting the job. Terrible.

Comparisons were idiotic because Bryant had NC, and won must look at what he did before he got the bama job.

Not saying I want him around here much anymore, but there are a lot of schools like Pitt, Uconn, and the list goes on that would take Richt.

Maybe I am mis-reading something.

No, you are right on target imo.

AD5, I don't think you're mis-reading anything. I don't think anyone's implying that Richt will never get a head coaching job again. I think Buc's "What???" was based on the author implying that Richt could just send his resume' to Stanford or Michigan and get hired on the spot, which, IMO, is preposterous. You are right about the schools you put down, but I doubt Richt would ever be on a traditional powerhouse such as Michigan's radar, unless they ran out of about 5 or 6 options first.

Exactly sadlerdawg. Miles today turned down the Michigan job, his school. Even with some of Mile's decision making (or lack of) the last couple of years, he was still offered the job at Michigan, the winningest school in NCAA history. Feel sure that Richt will coach somewhere else if he is released, that is if he really wants to coach again. Coach being the operative word.

The only thing that myself and others have asked is for Richt to do his job and that should be coaching up the fine football players that commit to UGA. Maybe Buc along with others have a view of our head coach that is not good for UGA football. He had better have one hell of a season in 2011, schedule is there, or we will continue to question why UGA has fallen to the bottom of the SEC.

Interesting to me that on the ESPN talk shows prior to the Auburn/Oregon game, Saban and Meyer were there on more than one panel. We know why, they are viewed on a different scale than Richt. Wins are one thing, championships mean a lot more. SEC has won the last five BCS Championships, we of course are not in that circle, keep getting deeper and deeper in the conference standings.

I guess what I need to hear from some on this board is when we might expect to recognize UGA as a powerhouse. What again did Grantham say when hired . . . . play for championships with the talent within five hours of Athens. I have quoted that statement several times on this board and will continue to do so. Was that just hype for the media and those of us that are expected to move along like sheep? Here is hoping from this quarter that Grantham and the rest of the recruiters come up big NOW. Alabama, Florida and LSU expect to win every year, I personally don't need the two years down the road garbage.

I agree, would much rather see Richt evolve/change for improvement than go through a complete regime change. The only problem is Richt just doesn't really seem to know how or want to, at least that is pretty much the perception we all get.

By the way I own www.markrichtmustgo.com and you can bet if Boise State hands UGA their azz next year I will be promoting it..... lol

bulldawg36869 I would be the first in line if Richt turns this program around to take it on the chin. Will also be first in line at your site to register if this thing goes bad.

Below is our schedule for 2011. To me this seems like the kind of schedule that we could do well with, especially with the returning talent and some of the newbies. Looking at the regular season portion of the schedule I would like to think that we could win all games listed. Realistically I think I see 8/4 or 7/5. Is that enough to build this program on?

Think I read or saw somewhere that the Boise State Coach has said he will remain as BS's coach. No plans to coach at Stanford. Makes me feel like he is ready and willing to play in Atlanta against UGA. He is on a mission.

09/03 - Boise State
09/11 -South Carolina
09/17 -Coastal Carolina
09/24 -at Ole Miss
10/01 -Mississippi State
10/08 -at Tennessee
10/15 - at Vanderbilt
10/29 - Florida (at JAX)
11/05 -New Mexico State
11/12 -Auburn
11/19 -Kentucky
11/26 - at Georgia Tech
12/03 -SEC Championship
01/02 -Sugar Bowl
01/09 -BCS Championship

I like the idea of Richt taking another job today, tomorrow or next week.

Hell, the Doc who delivered the kids (2 of them actually because he was late for the other 2) is an LSU man and when it looked like Miles was leaving he said he would be happy with Richt.
