Tired of being EMBARRASSED

Read the Blue Ridge paper every weekend. I saw where Coach Richt is speaking at the Blairsville Baptist Church. He does a lot of good things. I have no doubt, a very decent man.
Pardon this question, But if he had the character of a Kiffen or a Leach or someone of that ilk, with his recent record, would he still be head coach at the University of Georgia?
No insults intended, just wondering.

Great question, average. I'm guessing NO, and that he would have ALOT less support amongst the Dawgnation.

Of course not. I pointed this out a few years ago. In many things including football and politics people let religion cloud their judgement. Richt has hung around at least a year too long and one of the many reasons is the more evangelical were blinded from the truth.

averagedawg, absolutely spot on.

This is like opening and looking/reading through a time capsule. Richt is an absolute clone of Bobby Bowden. The one missing piece so far and probably in the future is the National Championship. Just don't see anything close to a MNC after ten or so years of being the head coach. Appears at this point, Richt is here for a couple of years. Time lost.

agree kd - most of dawgnation including myself have admired and given cmr a pass until recently

agree Buc - that's why I believe that he will be gone after this year - he will join BB on the trail - probably the best place for him
