YES!!! But, I have a feeling that we may end up like Auburn did in 2004. I just dont think we are gonna get ANY R E S P E C T this year. I hope I'm wrong, but I jsut think people are gonna over look us.

In some recent top 25 polls, UGA is ranked 23rd in ONE and nowhere in the top 25 in all the others. GT was ranked 13th in one poll.....are you kidding me!!!!!

You're right.....no respect but imo, that's fine with me. Hope they post the rankings all over the bulletin boards.

A perfect time for the COACHING STAFF to step up. The talent resides in Athens. A lot of this poll business is based on previous years by folks that \"think\" they have all of the answers. Looking forward to watching these young men play.

Yes wlayton - I've not seen us rated much higher than the 20's - But if we won the SEC - that would mean that we would have probably beaten F & A - say Tex/OhioSt goes unbeaten and BoiseSt/TCU go unbeaten - I agree with you - they might overlook UGA - the reason I say that is - I have been disturbed lately by some of the articles about CMR/UGA - I get the feeling that some of the media do not like us and CMR in particular because of his christian faith - where have we heard that before

RD, unfortunately I believe your feelings stated above are correct sir......people need to \"wise up\"!!

The only thing that counts in football is the ratio of points scored to points allowed, and the ratio of \"W\"s to \"L\"s. I do think that probably three or four teams will go undefeated this year. (It seems like that happens every year.) If that happens, we will be left out of the big dance because of where we are starting the year in the popularity polls.

Typically teams that start a new QB (particularly one who hasn't played a single snap of varsity ball) do somewhat poorly until the kid gets some games under him - hence our poor starting place in the polls. (Remember Matthew Stafford's first year at the position? I think he threw as many INTs as TDs. Maybe more - he REFUSED to heave it out of the end zone.) Realistically I think we are an 8-5 . . . maybe even a 7-6 team this year. But that won't keep me from my prediction of 14-0, undefeated and number 2 next January!!!!
