S. Hickman in Lake Wales, Fla., writes: Who in your opinion is a better quarterback, John Brantley or Aaron Murray? Who has more raw talent in your humble opinion?
Chris Low: I don’t know about my humble opinion. But my honest opinion is that Brantley is a much more polished passer right now who’s at least played some in the SEC. If you were going to pick between one of those two to win a game right now, I’d take Brantley in a heartbeat. But Murray also throws the ball well and is more versatile when it comes to pulling the ball down and running. Give Murray a season in the SEC, and I may feel differently. And to be fair, Brantley hasn’t taken any meaningful snaps in this league. But he throws as pretty a pass as you’ll see and also has an NFL-like release.
Going to be an interesting year. Go Dawgs!
Buc.....all you have to do is think DJ Shockley.......2 dimensional, Brantley's not running anywhere, kills the grass when he runs......... easy to find for our D.:woohoo: :woohoo:
Just my humble opinion.

Seems to me that the WAR is on. Christian LeMay, welcome to Athens!! Florida wanted Christian real bad, signing Jeff Driskel tells me that Meyer lost out on this battle.
Despite all the hubbub over Tim Tebow's throwing motion and where he might fall in the NFL draft, Florida obviously isn't having any trouble attracting top quarterback prospects.
On Monday, the Gators landed one of the crown jewels in the 2011 class when Jeff Driskel of Oviedo, Fla., said he planned to sign with Florida. The 6-foot-4, 224-pound Driskel is a mid-termer and plans to be on campus next January.
He had everybody in the country after him, including Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. But after starring at the Nike Combine in Gainesville last weekend and earning MVP honors, Driskel went public with his commitment to Florida on Monday.
He has great speed for a quarterback and a strong arm. A standout in January's National Under Armour Combine in Orlando, Fla., Driskel threw for 1,600 yards, rushed for 300 yards and accounted for 18 touchdowns as a junior. He's posted a 4.6 40-yard dash and 31-inch vertical.
He's the fourth commitment for Florida. All four are ESPNU 150 Watch List prospects. Two of them, Driskel and athlete A.C. Leonard (Interlachen, Fla.), are Under Armour All-Americans.
So just like Alabama, Florida's recruiting machine rolls right along.

It never ceases to amaze me watching sportswriters go back and forth.
We recruit a QB that is rated 1, 2 or 3 in the country. Not the State of Florida, the ENTIRE STATE OF FLORIDA and the rest of the country. Now these headline seekers come out with articles such as . . . . too short, injured too many times, never started a game in the SEC.
I need an explanation.
New Orleans Saints, Super Bowl Champions. Damn, the dude QBing that team was somewhere close to being what 6'. How the heck did that happen. You need a QB that is 6'4\" or taller to win? Like or dislike Michael Vick, he sure as heck changed the Falcon Football Team. He was not 6'4\" or even close.
Remember this . . . . AM is not a good QB, he is an OUTSTANDING QB. Several times on this board I have said . . . . much like Favre, he is a gutsy player with more than AVERAGE talent. He understands where every player should be when he calls a play, and believe me, there will be players asking him where to go and what to do. Anyone on this board that played football understands what I just said.
This young man does not have a noodle for an arm, he has a serious arm. He can and will run the football. That is a plus for the offense. If he gets banged up, it was because he was trying to get that extra yard or two.
I am so looking forward to the SEC season beginning. Meaning South Carolina. That will be the game that folks like Bill King and other headline seekers will understand what THEY DON'T KNOW. AM has the game, I seriously hope the rest of the team is as well prepared as the STUD from Tampa will be.
