Buc and NCdawg, thanks for the mini history lesson! I sometimes wish that I could have had some of the good experiences that my grandparents and others of that generation experienced. They always said \"Those were the good ol' days\", sometimes I believe they were right. Things then were alot simpler and at a slower pace.

I am STOKED about this years team!! I'm hoping to make the Gday game this year but I \"supposed\" to work that day. I have a feeling that I may be sick.....seems I'm getting the Bulldawg Fever!! LOL:laugh:

Damn,,, What is it with young kids... We had that problem at Bama until they saw that Nick Saban's doghouse wasn't a fun place to be... But we still have one every once in a while do something as dumb... No matter how much we think these guys are smart, they're still \"kids\"...

Sometimes they learn their lesson and are better for having screwed up, I hope this kid is one of those... He was someone everyone in the SEC knew could have been a goodie...

Hold on now, I'm no granddad yet!...I was just a toddler in the late 50's, early 60's...My eldest still has a few years of HS before she (BETTER) head south to Athens! But you are correct, those were simple, slower times. When neighbors borrowed sugar, held block parties and kids could roam the streets or ride bikes to the wee hours with little to no worries...Funny thing is, I sent the link to MY mom and she ventured down Atlanta nostalgia wayyyyyyy before my time! She was a nurse at Emory....the OLD Emory!

Anyway, enough of the old....Looking forward to this years team. I'm not going to expect much. Just hoping that some of these young pups bring in some fire, we find some serious upper classmen leadership....and most importantly, we develop and maintain SOLID coaching at all sides of the ball!

NOTE TO STEVE: Why is it that certain combinations of text will appear oddly when the thread is posted?? I ask cuz the work LINK above appears odd, and I was unable to attach an image, due to this oddity???!!!

NC.... You should be able to load pictures. If there are funny charecters I do not see them. be more specific.

Back to regular programming..
The drinking has got to stop. How does this even happen?

We invest a lot of money in the player then the drinking starts? The drinking was already going on. How was it missed is the question. Then the solution needs to be keep it from happening.

As far as I am concerned we could skip any recruit with a drinking problem.

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

Now I'm starting to wonder about my mental health....Am I the only one that gets odd configurations for certain words? Just looking at Steve's reply and the word \"player\" looks like it has 2 weird characters shrouding the word....Another is \"link\" and \"title\"....

Then again, if I'm the only one seeing these, perhaps I need to call up Zach and Ben and share a pint!!!!

GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NC Dawg,

You are not going insane I promise, I used to have the same problems on occasion w/the weird characters and the mysterious \"link\" appearing. Problem is, I'm not exactly sure what I did to fix it (if anything???)! My hunch is that is has something to do with your web browser/internet. I'm assuming you are a WINDOWS user & not a MAC user, that said, don't know if you are using Internet Explorer or an alternative browser such as FireFox or Google Chrome but I suspect that the web browser is your problem.

If you are using Internet Explorer (IE), what version are you running? I am currently running IE #8, upgraded FREE from IE #7 less than a year ago and currently I am having NO problems w/reading the posts on my FAVORITE web-site. BTW, Internet Explorer #9 unveiled it's beta version just yesterday, (it's not yet available to the public) but how's that for irony?

Hope this helps!
