I think the key to offense is a more run-oriented, yet creative game plan from Bobo. (Hint--the draw on 3rd down doesn't fool anyone, and the 3 incompletions and out from our own 20 is moronic.)
I think on D the key will be creating turnovers, which will be a by-product of consistent QB pressure.

Good food for thought, Buc.

sadlerdawg, know when CMR was with FSU he had a good passing attack, however he did run the football much more than some folks remember. Brother I am hoping that CMR does get more involved with this offense, we have nothing to lose. Agree with what wlayton posted earlier about having the pieces needed residing in Athens already.

One thing for sure, none of our competition has any tape of the UGA defense and the way it will be ran by Coach Grantham. Not all 3/4's are used the same way. Coach Grantham has promised that he is going to turn the Dawgs loose . . . .

wlayton.. the best news from Athens is we are one day closer to Sept 4th and show time. We will get a taste with the G-Game. Feeling is AM will handle the \"O\" to start and Zack will see game snaps also but he may be a year away unless AM gets hurt. LG will have his chance in spring ball at QB and it will be a three way derby. LG and BS can both be used in the Wild Dawg, we did not get a chance in a game but LG did work at passing out of the Wild Dawgs. Hitch and go to AJG twenty yards behind the DB sounds like something for JAX. We have the talent it is up to CMB to use it. CMR will be a big part of the entire offense plan. He will sit in on all the QB meetings with CMB. He has his hand on the tiller..you can see the difference in his eyes. Started with the Tech game and carried to the bowl. Once he made up his mind to clean house the fire was burning strong again. Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

Imo, Murray is our QB and the job is his to lose. The only competition in my eyes is for the backup. I'll take LG any day over Mett. Mett looked absolutely awful in last year's spring game. Believe he will eventually transfer from UGA over the next couple of years (my early prediction). He just hasn't impressed me yet and don't believe he will.....hope he proves me wrong.

Yep....AM is THE man, you can take it to the bank.

Figure you folks have read this piece of information on Alec Ogletree. One of the reasons that I am posting this is because it appears that this special athlete will see playing time this year. I truly believe that the changes in coaching at UGA will as some say . . . \"let the big Dawg hunt\". This young man is in the house, not playing for the Urange in Tennessee. Man of his word. Any comparison to Thomas Davis gets the blood flowing in these old veins. Think Alec will be a linebacker in the 3/4, awesome . . . . .

The bold type is for yd1, referring to his comment earlier in this thread.

On the Hoof: Ogletree has wide shoulders and long arms with a narrow waist with athletic legs. It is not just his game, but also his frame that remind most people of Carolina Panther Thomas Davis.

Needs Improvement: He will need to improve pass coverage skills in order to play safety at the next level. Ogletree is a tad stiff in the hips and a bit slow coming out of his backpedal.

Most Impressive: He comes up in run support maybe better than anybody else in the nation, wiping out anything in his path. Ogletree also seems to have a knack for either making a key tackle or block on special teams.

Conclusion: His affinity for being a special teams monster alone will make it hard for a coaching staff to keep him off the field. Don't be surprised if he ends up playing both safety and linebacker at the next level. His physicality will force coaches to get him on the field in some capacity sooner than later.
