The words \"physical\" and \"attacking\" sound great in regards to a defense that is going to
play at an elite level within the SEC, but I sure do hope he can recruit.
Oh and USC is facing possible probation, regardless of any article in the times being
from 82. That's why it makes perfect sense they went with Lane Kiffin .
Sort of like when an all you can eat buffet is having cost control issues, and they ask
Louie Anderson to be the new manager.
Welcome Wartdawg, glad to have another Dawg here.
Reading your first paragraph, \"physical\" and \"attacking\" think you are referring to Coach G's first utterance toward UGA and its faithful. My take on that is, if he can produce those two things in Athens, he and the team are far ahead of where we were recently. As far as recruiting, like you mention, is yet to be seen. Just for kicks, \"Bet He Can Do That\".
Go Dawgs!
Exactly the comments to which I referred: Coach G's initial words. In the SEC, you have to play aggressive defense... not the read and react scheme Martinez seemed to favor. You don't react to what the offense does... that has you always on your heels. That junk may work in the WAC, but it sure didn't here. Attack the offense and make them react to you... that's when you see real hitting and turnovers. Hell, even when Martinez's defense was making a tackle, the players were
usually falling over backwards as they did it.
Wartdawg, I am on your team when you post like that. Sad thing about WM was that he did not understand the defense he was having the team run.
Hands on hips, players pointing fingers, a nightmare for fans and players. Too easy to beat a dead horse, WM is history, show us what you have Coach Grantham.
