Reading your first paragraph, \"physical\" and \"attacking\" think you are referring to Coach G's first utterance toward UGA and its faithful. My take on that is, if he can produce those two things in Athens, he and the team are far ahead of where we were recently. As far as recruiting, like you mention, is yet to be seen. Just for kicks, \"Bet He Can Do That\".

Looks like we are going to the 3-4. AJC reporting that Grantham will switch to the 3-4. This will help recruits think about coming to UGA to learn the 3-4 and be ready to take it to the next level. I love watching a 3-4 defense, but am a little concerned about the learning curve and mistakes we will witness next season during it.

I'm so excited about this hire and the fire it will bring to our D. The opposing teams will definitely have to scheme and prepare to go against a 3-4 which you rerely see in CFB.

I wouldn't worry about that--they obviously weren't taught that system very well, so it shouldn't be hard to \"unlearn\".
BTW, Coach Grantham will be coaching linebackers. From ajc.com:

– Although he has coached defensive line for most of his career, he said he’ll work with the linebackers at Georgia. He thinks that’s the best role for a coordinator.

“As coordinator, you’re tied in to not only the front but the secondary,” he said, “so I will be working with the linebackers and that way you can be with both the front and the back relative to whatever drills you are doing.”
