Totally agree with you NC_Dawg about his comment: \"I look forward to developing an aggressive, physical, attacking žstylež defense that offenses will not look forward to playing against.\" That comment really sounds like music to my ears. I did have faith in CMR. Quality often takes time, and CMR was right I believe in staying his course until he got his man.
I knew nothing of CTG until a couple of weeks ago when his name started to be mentioned. I was hoping we would get KS or the DC from TCU. And eventhough KS was preferred ahead of Grantham by CMR, I am having a feeling that, yes, we may be better off with this guy in the end. It is a relief to have someone now to fill the DC slot, but I am thinking that it is possible that we ended up with a very, very high quality coach. Good work coach Richt; WELCOME coach Grantham! This is very, very exciting! I love it! Now, we can start to play Georgia Football again! Can you believe it? D a w g s...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DawgSpeare, good post. wlayton was sitting on the name Grantham, most of us, and I agree with you, did not have a hint as to who he was.
Another thing that really excites me is Coach Beamer speaking so highly of Grantham. Somehow I feel that our offer to Coach Foster made all of this possible. While Coach Foster did not come, he apparently liked what he saw at UGA. Think probably VaTech gave UGA a good SALES LEAD. This is exciting, go Dawgs, run the 3/4, send Samuel and others to the NFL.

Fellas, Kirby Smart, had we landed him would've likely been our DC for 2 years + or - a year. I think we have finally found what we've been looking for: a competent, hard-nosed, GATA defensive mind who will hopefully remain in Athens for a very long time.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COACH GRANTHAM!

Is there any early word on who the position coaches may be?
I’ve only heard the rumors of Travis Jones (UGA alum, coached under Saban, and currently asst DL coach with the Saints) and a rumor about the Packers secondary coach potentially coming. Don’t know anything beyond that.

Here is a link from the Knoxville Sentinel about their new hire, Derek Dooley. Take the time to read the posts, folks are upset. Looking forward to UT, Rocky Top coming our way this year. It is truly a disaster the goings on in Knoxville.
Heaven forbid NCAA lays a penalty on UT. Thanks Lane Kiffin . . . . the choice of UT fans that were throwing it in our face. Really pi**** me off that UT worked us over last contest. Thanks to a serious mistake that we made in making WM defensive coordinator. Looks like the powers that be have learned from their mistakes. No feelings here for Willie. . . .imposter.
