Hey kentdaddy.......maybe they will teach our DB's to turn their dang heads and look for the ball!!!!!

wlayton, exactly!!! Think about it. If you are running with a WR 30 yards downfield, common sense says turn around. By the time a WR is 30 yrds downfield, the ball is either in the air, is going to another receiver, or the QB is sacked. It makes no sense to never turn around.

When I played some at CB, if a guy was running a 9 route, if we had his speed times and matched, we turned around at 10 yards and kept one hand slightly on his hip while finding the football with our eyes.

Wlayton...you mean \"watching the receivers eyes\" is not a good philosophy?? After reading the new coaches thoughts I guess we never realized how terrible WM scheme was....thank God for the turn of the page!!! SIC EM YOU NASTY DAWGS!

Couldn't agree more. I can't imagine the grad assistants invoked a complex scheme to stop the vaunted A&M offense in the bowl game. Seemed to me that consternating on fundamentals improved our defense for that game....

baydawg, would not mind seeing a couple of the grad assistants that worked through the A&M game remaining on campus. That is where it begins . . . . ask Muschamp, Smart and others. Seems that they will be privy to a lot of coaching skill that will be invading the Athens campus. Coach Grantham also went that route, worked under some very successful coaches. Maybe he will pass it along . . . .
