Baydawg and excellent post!
I completely agree with the notion that Satan induced KS to stay, perhaps financially as well as due consideration and recollection to his career path, past and present! Likewise, we didn't \"officially\" present CKS with an offer until recently and I do believe KS gave it the full measure of consideration. KS didn't leave us hanging, we weren't backslapped, nor do I believe any \"term sheet\" was signed, then reneged.
Bama just won the NC!!!! KS was and is in the drivers seat where employment offers are concerned. Was it not KS that was mentioned for the TT HC position? CMR stated that he was going after the best person for the job. So far, he has. None of the names mentioned or offers made would have been poor hires for CMR. And it IS true, the seat upon which CMR sits has begun to warm. I'm certain that those names mentioned thus far have factored in career growth and longeviety when considering the offer.
Don't get me wrong, I hate like hell that we've publicly sought and came up short on the list thus far. But that's not CMR's fault, its the day and age that we live! From breaking news to ridiculous rumor, information moves at speeds never before imagined. However, it means more to us because we are intimately involved and aside to the schools from which we've attempted to \"loot\", the concept of UGA's need for a DC is not headline material, at least not until we are successful in landing a big name!
CMR needs to continue his search with big name/big impact in mind. If we get to the point that we appear to be settling; aka: Jim Donnon, then we will have a great deal more to discuss regarding the future of our program.
GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, at least we're starting at the top of the list and working down. The fact that we CAN start at the top of this list is a positive, so I'm sure that whoever takes the job will be top notch.

My biggest concern is the impact this has had on recruiting.
Richt has not handled this well.

Who cares, KS is a sale out!!!!!!!!!!! And a poor excuse of a UGA alum and player ,cant think of anyone assoc. with UGA that caused this much grief to the program other than jan kemp!!! He should have respect for UGA, There is no excuse for his actions!! I guess this is his way of getting his raise and getting back at CMR or whomever he had his differences with IMO.
