Some Thoughts

If CMR can man up and make the changes that need to be made then I am all in. If he can't, then he needs to go.

While I agree things are better now I simply think this is all Richt has unless he can hire better people.

I know people here get caught up in the fine upstanding christian man Richt is, but that is simply secondary to the job of winning football games. I know mine is an unpopular position on this, but we can have a coach who turns out fine men, but still has a mean streak. A football team should not be 4H camp and judging by the lack of fire that may be what we have though I have been to a 4H camp and they generally have more focus and discipline.

I agree 100%. My concern now is if we don't do something now to show the recruits, not the fan base, that we are fixing the problem and going back to what made us the dawgs a powerhouse in the SEC that we will start losing the A J Greens of the recruiting world to TN, AL, FL and God forsake other conferences. We lost a lot of our recruits during Goff and Donnans era and I need to see something going forward from today on. No more Cox at QB. Don't pull our red shirts but let it be known that every position is up for grabs. Coach I want to see some fire from you also. We made you a wealthy man now give us a return on our investment. I would not mind seeing a ton of new faces get playing time this Sat. after we put the game away hopefully by halftime. We have the talent lets use it. Living in TN I heard this morning on a local sports talk show how TN looked in the black jersey's and how they were pissed off they had been lied to about not having black jerseys. One of the host said at least they didn't wear black helments like GA, that didn't work, they SUCKED. That hurt. Go DAWGS. Get two more wins and get the guys who have busted their butts and the new recruits some bowl experience. It can be done.

I think Bobo would be a dang good OC if he went down the street to VSU or Southern, but he is not cut out to be a top SEC OC! I think Martinez is an idiot, and Richt is looking more and more like Bowden the longer this goes on!

I (as others) really respect the loyalty and think that if he can get some coaches in here, that can actually coach these kids, then maybe just maybe said coaches will appreciate it as well, but having loyalty to coaches that are NOT good makes everyone question everything done as a head coach! What happened to the CMR that had the whole team dancing in the endzone? Where is that spark?

We have only four games left in this season, and as i see it we have a small chance to make a great team out of this bunch! Here is the recipe; take any freshman that shows promise and let him be a starter, pick a running back and stay with him as a main horse. Give HCMR until the end of the season to reduce the roll of BOBO, Look for new Offensive and defensive coordinators (in the off season), RUN Willie out of the state and ask him to never return! After that we have a meeting of the whole team and the coaches at the 50 yardline (at nighttime) and then burn any peice of uniform that is black- the pants the jerserys the helmets even black socks if they have um! Never black out anything except an opponets eye! We finish the rest of the season with one purpose- getting ready for next season. Do all that and HCMR can stay! IF not lets run the bum out with willie! I love the dawgs, when i was a little boy i would listen to them on the radio with my dad! my blood is def red and black! Also, i love HCMR, i just see that he has a hard time making the hard decisions; but that is what seprates the good coaches from the great coaches! I know you can be one of the greatest coaches HCMR- but you gotta stop feeling sorry for the players and coaches that arn't making it. They can work hard and deserve to start, but maybe they lack what it takes to produce! maybe that is why they were the back up for the first 3 years they were here.

Great post guys, everyone of you say things that I feel and have felt for a long time. I to am so sick of the black out white out ect. I was watching a sports show on CSS last night and they said that CMR needs to burn the black jerseys and pants, and repaint the helments. They to can't believe that CMR has gqit coaching and gone to gimick tricks to get a team fired up. I mean if you can't get a team fired up playing the no 1 team in nation, chance to spoil their NC season, and a slim chance to play in the SEC championship with a little help. It seems like over the last few years, instead of us taking care of business, we always have to depend on someone else beating someone else so we can sneek in the the SEC championship game.

Anyway great post from you guys, and hopefully we can at least make changes for the better.
