Buc, I stated early in the thread that I saw it during the game and was not pleased. I think it was a stupid thing to do and he could have really hurt that kid.

Golic is an idiot. Blount has been in trouble his whole career (Spikes never has) and Blount went after fans and law enforcement.

Hmm, Holyfield lost half an ear and Ealey didn't even realize that he had been so-called \"hurt\". Not the same.
Spikes is just lucky that he did not succeed then I may agree with you.

Just because a criminal fails to rob, or fails to kill,or fails to rape,or fails to assualt does not make them any less of a criminal, and when someone gets caught doing somthing wrong they always say oh is was my first time, yeah right just the first time you got caught.

the first time i saw the video i thought \"what is he going after\". Is the ball loose? Did his hand get hung up and he's trying to wiggle it out? I had a mental block that one player would actually make such a concerted effort to poke anothers in the eye. But even that was wrong. Watch the video. He isn't trying to poke the other guy in the eye. he intentionally sticks his hand inside the helmet and then tries to scratch the other player violently with a clear back and forth motion.

Yeah. It's as bad as Tyson. The only difference is that Tyson connected.

Have to agree with you on the Golic remark.

You know guys, truth be known, that kind of stuff has been going on since I played ball. Biting, scratching, grabbing \"privates\", hitting etc etc at the bottom of piles has been happening for ever. Just didn't have youtube to catch it while it was happening.
