I m sure it would be different if it had been a Dawg sticking his fingers in Tbone the golden boys eyes, the SEC would have kicked our guy out for that, Heck we cant even look happy after a TD without punishment.

Golic, the host of the morning ESPN show stated that he thought it was SUCH a cheap shot, that it was a worse incident than the Blount punching Hout after the Boise St game (which Blount is still suspended, I believe).



What a joke. The SEC threatens to suspend coaches for comments about officials, but a player tries to blind somebody and nothing is done…. Pathetic. Meyer said that his first thought was to do nothing !!!!!!

Not that much of a stretch at all. Did you look at video? What Spikes did is on par with Tyson biting off a chunk of Holyfield's ear. Myers pretty much admits that he wouldn't have done anything if people hadn't made an internet stink. So you paint Florida as a team that plays dirty with a coach who looks the other way and makes excuses. At worst it's half true. Some kids have pride and won't want to play for a dirty team or an unethical coach. All's fair in love and recruiting.

oh, and, yes it will make a difference. Florida has four top programs trying to recruit these kids. Bowden won't live forever, Miami is on the way back, and USF is rising. The kids down here have a lot of local choices.

GatorinGA, guess I can't be credited with the portion that is in bold face. Guessing you missed a keystroke somewhere.

However, can't say that I totally disagree with the bold portion. A question for you, thinking here that you have looked at the youtube showing of the incident. Do you condone what you see?

Ive been asking gator fans around me all day what they thought of this, and they all seem to to just blow it off! I guess to each his own! A caoch with no morals breads players with no morals as well as fans! In thier minds that is the same as a late hit!! It seemed a little more to me!
