mid season firings lead to really awful seasons....I cant think of a single time when it's been an improvement for a team.

it also looks really bad for recruits who may be wanting to play for a particular coach (Searles comes to mind) and it imparts a sense of instability.

flyindawg I totally agree with you, CMB may be good one day. I like MB he was a BULLDOG and I respect that. Someone else posted that with time CWM could maybe be a good DC. I will not deny that either. The reason I don't think they are adequate for UGA is because we are not a up and coming program. We have lots of talent. Everyone wants NC's. We shouldn't have to settle for average coordinators. CWM and CMB should do their on the job training somewhere else. Maybe even be demoted to specialty coaches. CWM had some decent secondaries when that was his assignment. CMB coached up some pretty good QB's when that was his job. Just because your life long dream is be a head coach doesn't mean you will be successful. They had their shot and it didn't pan out. As long as you are doing your best then that is all you can do. I don't think CWM or CMB aren't giving their all. It is time to step aside move on. There is nothing wrong with failing. It may make them stronger.

Who in their right mind would be detered because they weren't going to get a chance to play for Willie Martinez?

at the press conference today, a reporter asked who would assume the qb role this week, and as for the answer... cox. but he said that the idea that lg wouldn't be thrown in there more often wouldn't be out of the question. i see more lg and less jc in the future. the coaches will not play murray til next season. book it. and coordinators heads will not just roll, but be cut off in the OFFseason. guaranteed.

kentdaddy.......man, it's great to have you back!!!! Hope everything is well with you. The core forum people I'm sure have really missed your posts and the new people are in for a treat.

Pay attention new posters.....kentdaddy is back. Kick back, read and enjoy.

Not going to ask where in the world you've been but only that it's great to hear from you and hopefully everything is ok with you!!

Things are getting better. It has been a tough year and I want to just quietly sneak in like Lane Kiffin to get acclimated.

I wish my return were in better times. It is with a heavy heart I endure this football season. I did today read a blog at ajc.com that others are talking about Willie Martinez taking his bountiful talents elsewhere.

As a non- Georgia tax payer I hope they some how throw a ton of money at Muschamp to come back and be our coach in waiting. Keep Rodney Gardner happy because that man can recruit.

I would give Bobo a little more time, but I would show him the scene in Untouchables where Connery shoots the already dead guy outside the cabin.

It is documented here that I have not always been 100% in the Richt camp because he seemed too nice and the boys never seem hungry or angry. I think more people would agree with me now.

I want a (non-cheating) defense that plays outright angry......Hulk Hogan getting a divorce angry.

We can do better.
