Moreno and Stafford knew something we didn't

I'm a huge fan of Matthew Stafford and an even bigger fan of the way Knowshown Moreno ran. He reminded me a lot of Dallas Cowboys runningback Marion Barber in that he almost always took at least two people or more to bring him down and that he always seemed to be fearless.

But I started wondering the other day why would a team that was ranked #1 in the pre-season and who had so many injuries wouldn't come back to attempt that glorious National Championship run like Tebow, Bradford, and McCoy did? At first I was sure it was the allure of NFL money, but with so many teams preaching education like Pete Carroll does out in California I can't believe Mark Richt would be any different. Now though after a shattering loss to my psyche at the hands of Oklahoma State I can see why they might have left.

Sure its purely speculation but the more I watch of the Georgia offense and the unbelievable play calling by our offensive coordinators and staff I'm suddenly thinking that perhaps it happened something like this.

Stafford: Hey Knowshown I think I'm going to the NFL man, we can't win with coordinators like this.
Moreno: Well man I'm good, but I can't win without you. Joe Cox surely can't win it for us. Are you sure?
Stafford: Yeah man, our playcalling is insane, its like our offensive coordinator is playing for the other team.
Moreno: Yeah thats true, alright lets go. I'm not doing this again for another year...were NFL caliber talent now anyway.

Of course this is just my own convoluted little world, but in short... Mike Bobo you were ok as a Quarterback, but you are not a good coordinator, please step down. 10 points against an Oklahoma defense that is as porous as any you'll see this year is unacceptable. Mark Richt, please step up and don't pull a Bobby Bowden (and I love Bobby), please don't just sit back in the twilight years and allow these coordinators to take your program into obscurity, or we might find ourselves facing NCAA rules violations and fighting for an ACC championship against.... WAKE FOREST?

Please someone at the University step up and make the tough decisions, also we need to implement things the way other organizations like USC have done, if your good enough as a fresman you will play. I've heard nothing but AMAZING things around campus about Aaron Murray, but he hasn't even seen the field, nor will he. Joe Cox isn't the right leadership for Georgia football, besides he has Gingivitis.

They went for the money....hands down.

Agree about Bobo.....needs to be replaced by an innovative offense mind.

I think both of them couldn't have cared less where they played college ball, as long at the end result was money. It's why MS didn't work on the leadership piece, Knowshon too. They knew they were out as soon as their stock was high enough.
When DaGreene and DaPollack were playing, they at least cared about Georgia. Grew up loving the Dawgs if my memory serves me. We need kids like that. Kids with heart who played every minute they were on the field for the love of the game first.

Stafford and Moreno both loved Georgia and played their hearts out. I have never seen anyone give more effort than Knowshon, he never gave up and was a great leader from day 1. I'm sure Knowshon did not grow up as wealthy as David Greene and Pollack, of course he would goto the NFL, especially him being a half back. Stafford was already wealthy and didn't need the money, but the opportunity to be the number 1 pick in a draft is rare. Like jHughes2466 said, why would either one of them stay anyways with an offensive coordintor like Bobo? Herschel left early too, does he not love Georgia?
