DFIT, I guess my question would be . . . why did we abandon the run. While as you said, offensive turnovers cost us the game, just asking.

I think, in the end, we just played an embarrassing game of football on two of three sides of the ball: offense and special teams. We had a bad day.

Who was the best team in the NFL last year? You could argue it was my Carolina Panthers. But we had a bad day, we abandoned the run and Jake Delhomme was responsible for six (!) turnovers all by himself, and Arizona, not us, went to the Superbowl. Georgia and Carolina and every other team in the world is capable of a bad day. Now let's see if Richt, Martinez, Bobo and the rest LEARNED from it.

dapolla, nothing more could be asked. Truly I hope that we don't continue to make the same mistakes. If so, some of us won't call them mistakes . . . . none of us like losing, it is more about how we lose. Certainly we will know a lot more about our Dawgs after the South Carolina game. They will invade the Hedges looking for trouble . . . I hope that we have the offensive and defensive package that shows growth and meets the Gamecocks head on. Go Dawgs!

I can't believe so many Dawg fans thought we were in contention for the SEC much less the national championship.

This year 9-3 or 8-4 is realistic. Last year was our chance and we blew it.

Cox didn't look good yesterday but I'm willing to give him another chance against South Carolina. If it is more of the same then we may need to look at other options.

Samuels had a decent day until we abandoned the run. We stay with the running game and he has over 100 yds for the day. Heck he averaged 4.4 yds/carry and finished with 87 for the day. Not bad considering we only ran the ball 12 times the second half of the game and only twice in the 4th quarter.

I personally think OSU played more opportunistic football. When you give up 3 turnovers 2 of them deep on our side of the field you can't expect good things to happen.

I think after SC we will have a better feel for what the team is all about.

Go Dawgs!!!!
