we don't have the talent this year to get past our coaching weaknesses. last year felt like a goff season (under motivated, poorly coached, but talented like the Hearst/Zeier years), this feels more like a donnan (under motivated, poorly coached, not very talented - check the stats on Okst's defense - they are not very good).
I'm disgusted.

I appreciate your optomism. after sc, our season will get much more difficult than what we saw today, on both sides of the ball.Guys don't get down yet! WE played one hell of a game.. WE gave them 10 points inside the 20 with a turnover and a no call block in the back on the return. Anyone see #45 being pushed from behind on that play????? Still it shouldn't come down to that one player making the play anyway.. I saw inexperience today on the Offensive side of the ball. Liked the running game which should have opened up the passing game but Joe and the recieving core just couldn't get it done today. I do think we will be OK. D was worn down late in the game and that Personal Foul call took the wind out of their sails!!! CMR and CMB have their hands full this week getting them prepared for SC's speed on the ends which I didn't see much pressure from our DE again! I said that was our weakest position and it holds true. Wish we could've mixed in LG a little more but OH WELL not to dissapointed in what I saw. Hate a loss but saw some young mistakes out there today. GO DAWGS and get ready for SC

the bobo way - if it's working, change it. if it isn't working, by all means keep trying it.

charlestondawg, knew at some point I was going to bring up the fact that you said last year's offensive calls were offensive. When you can put basically 9 in the box, you don't stand a chance. Correct me if I am wrong, look at the replays, 9 in the box.
sadlerdawg, you have always been the voice of reason . . . . and TRUTH. wlayton has been trying to warn us since last season. Guess I was looking for too much from JC. Know that he was sick and had not played for a long time, but . . . . . maybe this should be viewed and played as a rebuilding year.

I, too, am starting to wonder about our coaching staff.
Observations:
1. JC is a little better than Joe T. (again I predict LG will be our QB by midseason, if not sooner after what I just watched)
2. Samuels will go down if you TOUCH his ankles.
3. Bobo is the only OC that will change having success
4. Evans STILL can't cover anybody
5. Fire the special teams coverage coach (our ST coverage has ALWAYS been pathetic!!!)
6. Still NO DANG PASS RUSH.
7. D did play decent and very physical. Don't believe OSU ever drove the whole length of the field.
8. We are not very good....just like I said to Buc a few months ago.
9. IMO...in college ball, you had better have a very good QB, the most important position on the field. We have skilled players but can't get the ball to them.
10. Finally.....actually too disappointed to make any other comment except to relax and enjoy a very mediocre season unless we can get MUCH better QB play.
