I'm a little fuzzy...our offense is heavy with seniors who know the system, which makes them unproven.
Your defense allowed every ranked team you faced to score at least 23 points last year, and lost three out of four of those games. But they're \"greatly improved.\" Is that great improvement \"proven\"? Or are you blowing smoke?
I could say a lot of things the way you say them. But then it's just like two kids in the backyard playing War: \"I shot you, now fall down!\" \"No you didn't, you missed!\" \"You won't be able to cover Dez Bryant!\" \"Nuh-uh! You won't be able to cover A.J. Green!\" \"You're a poopy-butt!\" \"No, YOU'RE a poopy-butt!\" \"MOOOM! dapolla called me a poopybutt again!\"
The facts are these:
1) Last year, Georgia lost exactly three games, all three to ranked teams, and won its bowl game. Georgia twice failed to score 21 points in victories; doing math (the way we like to do), we held those two opponents to a COMBINED score of 21 points. That was with a defense PLAGUED by injuries, which were exploited when Florida scored 49, Alabama scored 41 and Tech scored 45.
2) Oklahoma State beat one ranked team last year, a team which finished 10-4 and which (like OSU) beat ONE ranked team in Northwestern. But hey, at least Missouri won its bowl game.
3) Oklahoma State came in FOURTH in the Big Twelve South last year. Unimpressive to me.
4) Georgia doesn't lose road games against nonconference opponents. Hasn't happened since the last time we lost at Georgia Tech, in 1999. That's before Mark Richt came to coach at Georgia.
5) Ain't nobody touched a pigskin yet, but I'll tell you what was \"gonna\" happen last year: Georgia was \"gonna\" win the national championship, and was ranked higher than Oklahoma State at the beginning of the season. Remember that? I'll bet you do. I also remember Oklahoma State being undefeated and ranked sixth in the country before losing to Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech and Oregon. Let's just see what happens on the field, shall we?
