GatorinGA

Before you start talking about the \"celebration\" maybe you should check facts since you are on a GA forum...Richt did appologize and dapolla said. Now i need to point out the vandy game last year. Did you happen to see it? well let me tell you about it...we won by last sec field goal. and players danced on the \"V\". Did richt tell them to do it...NO! he ripped their asses for it. So try again to name a classless thing he did!

im not trying to be a prick

Gator it was only on the news because the team misunderstood Richt, only the players on the field were supposed to celebrate. That's why it was so big, as for Richt telling the team to do it, take it how you want. I know I would rather be called classles for some penalty that got my team so pumped up, and the repurcusions were virtually nill. Versus being called classles for keeping every star player you have to keep running up the score, knowing there is no way possible for the other team to come close to winng. Classles? all in the eye of the beholder fellas. I know who should be on the naughty and nice list. But this stuff is kinda like opinions and a@@H@les everybody has one.

Congrats on the W GO DAWGS!!!

Ok guys. I don't wan't to start a riot.

By the way Dapolla, Percy Harvin was not the one who clapped when Joe Cox finally did what Stafford coundn't. It was our back-up QB, Cam Newton. Seams like I'm also trying to keep facts straight here. As for running up the score on Miami. Heck it was 4th down from the 9. If we were running up the score we should have went for the TD not the FG. Plus it was Miami! The scUM! Plus, we needed to try to cover the spread.

As for the celebration. I know that Richt said sorry and that it was a misunderstanding. I watch the news. I honestly beleived from the moment the game ended, Richt felt like Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto from the Japenese fleet that bombed Pearl Harbor. For thoose of you that know your history will know what famous quote Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto said afterwards. I have this feeling that Richt gulped after the game and I hope he enjoyed '07. '08 and taking two time outs was overkill, I'll admit but you know what they say. Revenge is best served cold. '09 will just be the result of a major miss-match but UGA should have thier chance again in 2010 when the Gators are rebuilding.

GatorinGa, tacking on points at the end of the game when it is over IS running up the score whether it ia a field goal or Touchdown! I respect your feelings and I would try to defend my team also to a certain extent. You are a fan and you see it through orange and blue glasses. To everyone else in the country including ESPN commentators, it was uncalled for regardless who it was against.

It's not right to complain about an end zone celebration for months and turn around and do that. The right way to end that game would have been to down the ball. Don't get me totally wrong, I like to lay it on a rival as much as possible and I do believe CMR is, sometimes to passive against teams we have big leads on. We allow teams to get a little to much \"window dressing\" at the end of games, but kneeling on the ball would not have made any difference in that game. Shannon would have taken the ball, ran one play and the game is over. Remember what goes around comes around.

i have to defend him a little. if you have the ball...the end of the game...4th down on opp side. why not just kick the fg. if you go for it to run out the clock and get it or score people are going to say thats running up the score anyways so whats the difference. 3 is better than 7 if your the d. i still dont like UM though

gators...yuck!!! :X

I personally think Tim Tebow is a spectacular athelete who also happens to be an egomaniac and an idiot. When tebow is on the sidleine pumping guys up it is because he thinks that he is so much better than everyone else that they need him to pump them up and also he knows the cameras are showing him do it. during his ole miss game cry fest he acted like the team couldnt work hard unless he decided they needed to. Tebow's \"leadership\" has more to do with feeding his ego. Back to the idiot part. He does not and can not read a defense. the coaches tell him exactly what to do and he his surrounded by the best atheletes in the country to help him out. And another I dont like about him is When you hear him talk it sounds like youre hearing a 9 year old girl. Dont get me wrong he is a one-of-a-kind player but he is also a one-of-a-kind hot dog

GO DAWGS!!!!!
