Buc & Wlayton,
Thanks for the welcome! Yes, I do live in Florida and yes, the \"USF\" part of my name is The University of South Florida, College of Engineering. In many ways, the parallels between Georgia's season & South Florida's season is eerily similar. USF had every reason to waltz backwards & blindfolded into a Big East BCS bowl spot, but fell apart mid season. This was their best shot at getting a BCS spot in their program's history. Seeing the programs down here does indeed show the similarities between Richt's loyalty to Martinez and Bowden's loyalty to his son. Bobby's loyalty to Jeff almost cost him his position as head coach because the boosters, alum and athletic director got involved and told him - Jeff goes or you both go. I sure hope that the situation with Coach Richt doesn't reach that type of scenario because no matter what is said after that, the relationship is never the same between head coach and school when the school begins issuing ultimatums.
Prozack,
Defend Willie Martinez all you want, and I respect your opinion. But let's do the math here. You say that
Our players werent as good as predicted. Our offense shot itself in the foot just as much as the defense struggled in our games against fla and bama.. I hardly think our offense, which averaged 31.75ppg this season can be classified as an offense that \"shoots itself in the foot.\" If we, in the SEC East, are putting up ~32ppg, then there is no reason why we shouldn't be winning those games. Where does the problem lie? Not with the offense.
By the way, don't let the Gator fans fool ya, I'm surrounded by orange & blue down here and I can promise you that every Gator fan was FURIOUS when Aaron Murray committed to UGA.
