Sadler, I agree.
Not too much positive thinking this year.

I think the key to the LSU game is handling their defense. I think our D, as maligned as the pundits might have it, is up to the task. LSUs strength is their D. Thier offense hasn't really impressed me yet. I say, if our O-line stiffens, the game is ours.

Yeah, Buc, I just got back from Athens fairly happy with the performance, we showed some improvement, a few lapses, but all in all a good day. I got on the board, and hell, you'd think we lost by 2 touchdowns. Quite a bit of negativity. It seems that some people have already conceded the next two games. Whether we win or lose, the fun is in the build-up the whole week, then watching the game and cheering your head off no matter what, not resigning yourself to the worst possible scenario. Guess I just can't see how some people get any enjoyment out of a hobby that seems to disappoint them so much.

Spoken like a true Dawg fan, and Marine. Stand your ground, the weak will always be the weak. Go Dawgs.

Yeah, Buc, I go into every game knowing not only that we can win, but that we're going to win. Sure, maybe I'm wrong once in a while, but I just couldn't see doing it any other way.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

IMO it's a matter of time, maybe sooner than we think that these boys put it all together in a game or two and surprise the heck out of all of us. This is still a young team. Balance on offense is exceptional, D-line is solid and the talent is top shelf. I still agree we should try to add the TE as a dimension to the offense and mix up the D a little in blitz packages. In defense of WM it is a slippery slope when you blitz and leave your undersized corners out on an island. We obviosuly cannot blitz on every snap and need to time them perfectly which is where I see the opportunity.

There is indeed a lot of unnecessary negativity right now. Not sure if it is spawned from all the hype and preseason expectations or from knuckleheads coming on to specifically post threads to stir this up, but I completely agree with the theory that it takes breaking a few eggs to make an omelet. The time is coming my friends and Lord help whoever is on the other side of the ball when it all comes together.

DawgnLA, one of the best posts (if not the best) I have read since being on this board.
