What’s the greatest
single need we have for the LSU game?

1. Effective pass rush
2. Better offensive line play
3. Better defensive backfield play
4. Greater distribution of passes to receivers not named Green
5. Throw to the tight end
6. More middle distance passes (8-15 yds)
7. More variety in offensive plays

To me, there is no question that it is no. 1. We must have a greater pass rush against the Tigers. Second on the list is #3 for me, and it is axiomatic that #'s 1 and 3 are closely related. A better pass rush automatically affects the effectiveness of the defensive backs, and vice versa.

I would also like to see us throw a pass to the tight end. As I recall, the tight end is usually eligible to catch a pass.

We may not be ready for LSU or the slimy lizzards...BUT...ready or not they are here, and we have to face them. Of the two games, the Gator game is the most important and most critical for us to win. We might, might, maybe get by LSU with only slight improvement in our play versus Vanderbuilt. But we will not defeat Florida without a substantial pass rush!!!!!!

DawgSpeare, have to ask this question. Do you really think that Florida is a prolific passing team? I watch most of their games, living in Florida. If we control the line of scrimmage, meaning STOP the run, it forces TT to throw the ball. He is a good football player, but will not be drafted into the NFL as a passing QB. Florida will win most of their games with the running attack. Tebow is strong, but moving past the strength of Tebow, you have speed in the running attack. I hope that we force TT to throw. Just my opinion.

I thought the defense played a good game yesterday. That one Vandy TD in the corner of the endzone was a perfect throw. Nobody could have stopped that play.
We are getting better people. Don't fret.

average, reading some of these posts, takes me back to days that were a lot worse in the Dawg Nation. Some of these folks have to have instant gratification. Line up in the McDonald's drive through window and get your burger right now. Some of us came up in a different time, we knew that a GOOD burger took some time on the grill. Those that are impatient have that right, that is all that they know. Go Dawgs.

Buc, I remember the Goff years. It took courage to be a Dawg back then.
Six decades has taught me a little patience and perspective. For the most part these kids have their heads on straight. We have a young, good team. Take away two quarters of the 'Bama game and where would we be?
I support these kids 100%.
GO DAWGS!

Yeah, Buc, I just got back from Athens fairly happy with the performance, we showed some improvement, a few lapses, but all in all a good day. I got on the board, and hell, you'd think we lost by 2 touchdowns. Quite a bit of negativity. It seems that some people have already conceded the next two games. Whether we win or lose, the fun is in the build-up the whole week, then watching the game and cheering your head off no matter what, not resigning yourself to the worst possible scenario. Guess I just can't see how some people get any enjoyment out of a hobby that seems to disappoint them so much.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!
