The John W. Heisman Memorial Trophy

Everyone has an opinion of what the Heisman should be about.
But what homers some of you are
Here's mine:

1. Chase Daniel (if Mizzou beats Oklahoma and he has an OK game)
2. Tim Tebow (or No. 1 if the above does not happen for Daniel)
3. Darren McFadden

There is nothing funnier to me than listening to all the Tebow bashing from Gator Haters. It is the epitome of jealousy !! Nothing more. Deep down, Dawg fans HATE that he was hurt during the UF vs. UGA game. Not because of having to listen to people speculate, \"what if Tebow were healthy\" but because you yourself will never know. And we won't even know next year because I don't expect Tebow to play the same roll in '08.
You have to remember that defenses already know what he is going to do and they still can't stop him.
Look at this clip and then tell me that he is not a beast!

Let us all remember that the criteria for judgment in the awarding of the Heisman is as it is stipulated in the ballot instructions:
\"For THE MOST OUTSTANDING player in the nation.\"
That's all the criteria says, \"most outstanding.\" Not most valuable, not the best, but \"most outstanding.\" Each voter gets to decide what most outstanding means to him/her and then who best fits that description.

Your (gatorfaningeorgiaguy) three match my three so you have to have a brilliant streak, but then you go on this fawning, e-jacking Tebow love fest that makes me question the very nature of your sexual orientation. ;)

Tebow = Dan Kendra with a scheme that is built for a Dan Kendra type player.

I 'm not jealous of Tebow, I think he's a fine young man.

Besides, we beat him and his gators. Plus, IMO, stats can be padded, leading your team to a conference championship and to the NC game CAN'T be padded.

1) Darren McFadden
2) Pat White
3) Tim Tebow

Explanation -- Darren McFadden is the best college player in the nation.

Further explanation: if Pat White didn't have Slaton and Devine behind him, and Rodriguez ran him the way Meyer runs Tebow, White's stats would DWARF Tebow's in the defense-free Big East. Tim Tebow WILL win the Heisman next year and, if he stays for a fourth year, may win it two years in a row. I don't mean to diminish anything Tebow's done; I'm just saying that with no SEC defense to stop him, Pat White would have run for thirty and thrown for 15 or 20.

To me stats are important as a measuring tool but when you can lead your team to winning championships and possibly winning it ALL, that is the ultimate deciding factor in my mind (especially when you have unbelievable stats to go with it).
