Getdown11, everyone DOES play each other in the Pac10, which I actually do like but would prefer them playing an extra game.

I agree with a championship game but with only 10 teams Im not so sure. I will give it up to the Pac-10 in the fact that they typically schedule decent non-conference opponents.

Personally I think the Pac-10 should expand to 12 give Boise St. and maybe BYU an invite and have a championship game.

The college presidents will never go for a playoff and unfortunately, it's up to them.

all i know is that ohio state still has a chance to play in the big game, and they would never last in a playoff. that tells me that this system does not give us a real champion! simply because the \"experts\" say that one team is better than the other sure as hell doesn mean that they are!! talking about who the best team is does not prove anything to me... LET THEM PLAY!!!! its our only chance to find a real champion.

You know......hasn't this year in college football been really confusing, weird, unpredictable and the MOST FUN that I have seen in years. The parity this year has made this season a total blast.

averagedawg is right! We need to remember (and I conveniently forget this as well) that under the current system, there is no system. That is to say that college football is a loose conglomeration of regional groups called conferences which are governed to a LIMITED extent by the NCAA. I am certainly no expert on this, but it is obvious to this point that the individual schools and conferences are the ones who make the final decisions.

The National Championship as we fondly like to call it does not exist; it is, as we have been reminded in the past, the Mythical NC. And that is exactly what it is. We do have currently a BCS Title game and title holder (ugh, dare I utter it; the current title holder of course being, the Gators), but that is the label, and it doesn't claim to be the definitive national champion. Although we all pretty well agree that the winner of the BCS title game is the NC.

Personally, I'm just fine with a Mythical National Champion. B) B)
