I couldn't believe the way we went after em on D Saturday! I don't think we get Muschamp, his stock is rising. I can only hope we continue to play aggresive Georgia Football.

Great win against the Gators, long overdue. Also, cheers to Coach Richt and his apparent feelings that this team needed a jolting, back to the days when the Dawgs were respected. I for one have never called for Richt's removal, have seen few on this board do that. One digusting individual that pretty much ran into a wall of Dawgs on this board when it was his opinion that Coach Richt needed to return to FSU. Or something similar. The gathering in the end zone, in my opinion had to be the brain child of Coach Richt, assistants don't usually carry that much authority. That was a bold move by a man that had watched not just the offensive side of the ball, as head coach, he had his eyes firmly focused on the defensive side also. With such a national news worthy event, would be surprised if that did not influence some of the \"young\" Dawgs in the wings on the recruiting trail. Huge, bold step by Coach Richt, now we need for the assistants to follow with the same intensity. As for Slick Willy, I hope that this was a life changing event for him. Never want to see folks lose their jobs, but the successful folks in life are goal oriented. Auburn on CBS, looking forward to that coverage. Also, don't overlook Troy, not a team to mess with. Take some notes from Michigan earlier in the year. Kentucky, in my opinion will never be the same team that some of us remember back in the day. Great win, great board, GO DAWGS!

We still allowed 30 points. True, the D played better. As stated, the secondary needs more coaching. Slick Willie has improved, but it's to little to late for me to keep him....That is if I had a vote.

I do however, think he will stay. I also think he will start to play more aggressively. Also, as much as I would like to see Muschamp come to UGA. I think he will take a HC job.

The Sage Dawg has spoken--I for one will not go against his wisdom as our Sr. Dawg--THANK YOU KIND SIR!
Willie is our man, I am behind him 100%!
Like many of you, I too want to see him be more aggressive w/his playcalling & show more on the field emotion but you gotta admit it, he called a darn good game on Sat. & seemed to be more willing to part w/the conservative rush 4 drop 7, vanilla approach.

Our D is very young, but I think they grew up a lot this past Sat., even though they surrendered 23 points (not 30--our offense gave up the other 7). I mean, let's be honest, our D simply doesn't yet have the 1 huge playmaker we've grown accustomed to in years past (D. Pollack, T. Davis, G. Blue, etc.).
However, I do think I saw some difference-makers in the waiting play on Saturday
Rennie Curan #35 a true Freshman made some great solo tackles & really flew to the ball.
Reshad Jones #9 a redshirt Freshman came in for injured safety Kellin Johnson & made 4 solo tackels in less than 1/2 of football.
Roderick Battle #41 redshirt Sophmore made one of the games biggest plays by forcing a fumble w/Florida driving on the 1st series of the game--talk about grabbing momentum.

Folks, do you realize the only starters this improving D will lose after this 07' season are:
Free Safety Kellin Johnson, Linebacker Brandon Miller, & Defensive End Marcus Howard.

IMO, at LB, Ellerbe & Washington can both flat out play. Asher Allen is going to be an All-SEC corner before he's done, Reshad Jones is definitely a stud safety, & our young D-linemen are only going to get, bigger, faster, & stronger.
Our current recruiting class boasts the #2 ranked DT in the nation, DeAngelo Tyson from Statesboro & 3 other top ranked D-linemen. We also have three, 4-star defensive backs, plus stud 07' LB recruit Akeem Hebron who spent this season prepping at GA Military College.
Boy, I can hardly wait til' next year when we field one of the nastiest, most dominating defenses in all the nation!!!

First of all the D only gave up 23 points but I do agree with you flyindawg. I will defend the DB's to \"some\" extent. When we \"bring the house\" on a blitz and don't get him then our DB's have to be VERY careful not to over commit or it's a TD. So when we are THAT aggressive, it does put our DB's on \"an island\" because most of the time one of the safeties are coming too.

Still would chose the AU WM over the UGA WM.
