Inexcusable we didn't call a couple of timeouts to regroup the D in that 2nd QTR.

Brain dead inexcusable.

The heralded D line did not show up. The only one of the front seven who appeared interested was Dean. The Hobbit is not a championship caliber QB as we all knew. Their QB is and that was a huge difference. If JT does not see the field in the next game then Kirby needs his head examined.

He needs to have his head examined anyway, because what now: After not playing any meaningful downs since game 1, are we going to trot him out there in the CFP and expect him to be on top of his game?

The D didn't show up especially in the 2nd quarter, but the offense and coaching staff didn't help them out. The O ran three straight series of quick 3 and outs with SBIV missing easy passes left and right, and when obviously gassed the coaching staff refused to call a timeout or anything to help them catch a breath.
