If for no other reason, Coley is now needed more than ever in South Florida. Diaz will change the Miami program for the better. Miami area no different than Atlanta and the surrounding area, and not forgetting the rest of the State of Georgia, talent is never ending.

These young men trust Coach Coley, and good reason for that, he walks and talks a straight line. I make no bones or excuses about the promotion of Coley, feel a lot better today than I did yesterday. Coley said and I believe . . . . he really likes living in Athens.

Allow me this . . . . I sincerely hope that our next defensive coordinator is already on the staff.

Expect to see Mark Richt on ESPN soon.

Agree Buc...next DC needs to come from within also..

HC ..is focused on recruiting as is his staff..

Good that Coach Coley can hit the road with single voice when

Speaking about our offense..

Assignments still open.... DB’s. and TE’s

Bet HC ..... already has names in mind...

Buc... spot on when you said 2019 was a big year for our program

Much more than rearranging the deck chairs ..hmmmmm

Am I overlooking something... I can’t find where he played in college. It’s surprising to me if he didn’t play.

Mans got nice hair. Seems like a good choice. Did they really offer the guy in Kentucky the job first. That guy seems like Chaney just a hundy pounds lighter. I think Kirby likes that run run run style. Going to be interesting to watch.

Edit...that Kentucky man was a hundy and half lighter than Chaney. Hey, I like Chaney. I’ll be troubled on whether to pull for the vols with him on staff.

Really think that the next defensive coordinator will be someone on staff now. Several reasons for that . . . . Kirby coaches as hard as anyone on his staff, day after day. Think we all know that Kirby was heavily involved with Coach Tucker both in practice and game day. Makes sense that coaching "together" can and should be a plus for us.

As growl often says, being constant definitely keeps the team concept on page one, first line and paragraph. Little room for game time errors when all minds are together on the "process". Will not surprise me if we actually are told that we have "co-defensive coordinators. Just a thought.

I also believe that much of Dabo Swinney's success is him being able to keep many of his staff together. Saw the look, handshake and hug that Dabo and Brent Venable shared on national TV after the Alabama/Clemson game. Venable is young (48) and has been the defensive coordinator since 2012. Couple of young defensive coaches on Smart's staff that I believe can and will step up.
