yankeedawg1, still have thoughts of Kirby Smart with one foot in the Gamecock door. That was real.
There is a "group" in Athens that have to have their backs "shoved" against the wall to get "anything" of consequence done.
Pruitt and Smart took that "group" on and the changes have amounted to more upbeat coverage of UGA Football . . . . Nationwide. I venture to say that Smart to South Carolina would have put the Gamecocks close to the way we find our program.
Smart and Company continue on the current path, little doubt that coverage grows leaps and bounds. Not to be fooled as to why our program is moving in a positive direction. Athletic Director came aboard in 2010, positive changes started when Pruitt arrived and continued when Smart pulled his foot out of the Gamecock door.
What happened in JAX yesterday is a direct result of moving in another direction. That direction being two coaches that understand what real progress is and what it takes to get there. Indoor Practice Facility for openers. Smart and Company not sitting behind a desk or waiting to recruit in a players "living room" after the footwork has been accomplished. Two years of recruiting by this group proves that hard work pays off, pays off in more than one way . . . . Nationally. This has been accomplished with two coaches that are trained in the field that they work in. McGarity, stay the heck out of the way, photo ops not needed.
