yankeedawg1, this statement allowed me to "peel back the onion" as you some times post . . . .
Several posters have noted that they wanted to see a more mature #7.
Thus far LC has stepped up his leadership …. Looking lean and stronger with added speed….. excellent news for our defense…..
Takes me back to Coach Jeremy Pruitt . . . . again.
Carter with all of the talent that he was blessed with, had one serious problem . . . . The coaching staff at Georgia and Alabama was different when Carter and Pruitt arrived, even though Pruitt came to us from FSU. Hard to remove the lessons learned in Tuscaloosa. Pruitt showed Carter where the bench or sideline was. Pruitt was doing nothing more than getting LC's attention. He did that for sure. If LC thought or thinks that it will be any different under his defensive coaches now with the recent turnover, he is seriously wrong. Good college coaches are no different than solid NFL coaches. They understand the "history" of the player(s).
There is/was a major turnover in the way defense is going to be played in the Classic City and I believe the majority of that change came the day Jeremy Pruitt arrived in Athens. What Pruitt did to change UGA Football is now being used by a group of coaches in Miami. Truth.
Would like to see Kirby Smart stop using the words when describing practice and players as, "them and us". Kirby is new as a head coach, more "lessons" he needs to learn, more to college football than practice or closed practice. Words count.
