We are not "puppies", believe most on this board are "Dawgs".

Do not like for folks to "spin" . . . . Do not talk to me like I don't know what "our" program has been through for a long time and needing leadership badly. Both on the field and in the Mahogany Row area.

sadlerdawg, you were the first to comment on the "arena" chatter that the previous head coach tried to drown us out with.

Back to the comment from Kirby . . . .

“We don’t look for blame,” Smart said. “It’s a team game, guys. Sony [Michel] and Nick Chubb are as good as team players there are anywhere in this country. Those two kids love that offensive line and appreciate what they do for them.”

Reallly? What is the purpose in going to the offensive coordinator?

Take another direction on the comments . . . .

If the two running backs are ok with the offensive front . . . . guess the "blame" that Kirby does not look for or want has to fall on his selection for offensive coordinator.

If there was not or is not a problem, makes me wonder why Sony and Nick were in the offensive coordinator's office to begin with.

All I am doing is being honest to what I see coming from those that run our program. There is definitely a short fuse connected to Georgia Football. The short fuse was put in place by FANS after releasing the last head coach. FAN base not willing to allow the previous mistakes.

Not saying that Kirby Smart is a mistake, still not buying into that yet. Hard for me to believe anyone can spend years under great leadership and not come away with "more" . . . . don't have to explain "more". Not every person that has coached for Nick Saban has turned out to be "all that". Maybe Kirby Smart will, I for one hope so.

Wartdawg, I don't like smiling offensive coordinators on the sideline either when he/we are getting our butts handed to us.

Kentucky will come to play tonight. Here is hoping that we can score some points or prevent same.

Yeah... imagine that..

Two of our best players walk into the OC's office to say "WTF??"

Hard to say that wasn't deserved.... or predictable.

The HC and AD should be walking into his office saying the same thing.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

I know we have talent and depth issues, but they are not "struggle against Nichols" level issues.

Maybe Chubb and Michel have realized that and that an even bigger issues is the man running the offense and are a little miffed about all of the struggles being dumped at the O-lines feet.

I'm sorry to say this but I pay attention to expressions and body language and it seems to
me at times that Chubb looks like he has just given up... and I don't think he would give up because of his teammates. How many times did we see Chubb stuffed and stuffed before he broke a long one (Alabama anyone?) Michel was a dual purpose threat and now he's relegated to just being the second guy taking the same occasional mundane handoff.

Michel got 4 total touches in the Florida game...

Understand that Chaney had Drew Brees while at Purdue. Believe that was the "bone" tossed our way as reasoning for the hire.

He left college as one of the most-decorated players in Purdue and Big Ten Conference history, establishing two NCAA records, 13 Big Ten Conference records and 19 Purdue University records. He remains the Big Ten record-holder in virtually every passing category, including completions (1,026), yards (11,792) and touchdowns.

Many times a coach gets credit for the play of an outstanding player, when in truth, great players do not need a lot of coaching. Simply called "talent".

More and more I accept the idea that the hiring of Coach Sam Pittman was based on the hiring of Chaney. The players and the head coach at Arkansas really wanted Sam to stay, went so far as to go to Sam's home asking him to remain. Guess what I am saying is Kirby might have had his hands tied if he wanted Coach Pittman. That is not the "Saban" way. Stuff that I think about.
