Reading the article below, have a couple of thoughts.

Remembering that the replaced head coach had the best back in the SEC and allowed him to sit on the bench, even though every player on the UGA squad knew he was the “best”. Knowshon Moreno.

Anyone that believes that Jacob Eason will be handled the same way that Knowshon Moreno was, we are on different pages . . . . I hope.

When a fifth or sixth year player has to be replaced and then come to UGA and actually be handed the position, by a coach that had failed miserably in the NFL, approved by Mark Richt and here we are. Just another of Richt’s failures. FACT.

Matters less to me that Lambert has “experience” at the position. Have been through that with others in Athens. I remember well that Nick Saban wanted our “other quarterback” that has been less that successful in Athens. Not sure at this point if he will be the “punter” in 2016. Spirals are great to watch, problem with that . . . . who is on the receiving end?

Single biggest problem in Athens has been a lack of leadership.

Now we see fans excited about Coach Pittman. Pittman is our offensive line coach. Why are we excited? Because some in the Dawg Nation understand what Mark Richt never understood. That is one of the reasons in my mind that Coach Will Friend left for Colorado State. I said that.

Every game that Jacob Eason does not start or play . . . . I have some serious questions. Why would Kirby Smart make his way to Washington to go face to face with the Eason Family? That happened as soon as he had finished with the National Championship Alabama Football Team. Yes, I know that Mark Richt flew out to Washington to meet again with the Eason family. He thought that “might” save his job in the Classic City. Mark Richt asked those in charge in Athens to give him one more year. One more year added on to the 15 years that he did not accomplish anything more than pleasing the “bleeding hearts”. Argue that point, look at the record.

So many things that can be said about the article, probably will do that.

Media will always position themselves, looking for a special “spot”, called job preservation. Said that too.

I'll be surprised, no, make that amazed, if Eason isn't starting from game one. I know, I know, a lot goes on that we don't see or know about, but judging from the performance in front of 93K +, Eason is MILES ahead of Lambert. He has much better mechanics, went through his reads properly, and his accuracy and arm speed are off the charts compared to Lambert. Most of us knew, and pointed out before last fall, that a cast off QB from a sorry school from a mediocre conference probably wouldn't cut it as a starter in the SEC.

The best part from the story--

”I have no objections to (Eason) starting the first game,” Smart said, referring to the opening contest against North Carolina.”I want the guy that gives us the best chance to win to start the first game . Whoever that is, that is twenty something practices from now, so we will know a lot more.”
