Monday Thoughts, Sincere Beliefs . . .

Another good read.

Coach Pittman's name continues to come up in college football talk by many that coach the game.

One of the things that interests me about Daniel Gothard is his wrestling background. A sport that requires a lot of technique. Can only help him wearing the Red and Black.

Encouraging to know that we have an offensive line coach that understands "player development". Going to pay dividends in the future for UGA.

Appears from all of the chatter that Kirby once again made a good decision.

Daniel is definitely a guard.

Willing to get this . . . . Daniel Gothard is in Athens because Sam Pittman gave his stamp of approval.

Like the fact that Kirby is not sitting behind a desk with a water bottle. Kirby answers questions that seem to be asked freely and answered the same way.

Say again, glad that Kirby is going to Columbus, Georgia next. Kirby understands, as does Dell McGee.

A statement or statements made by Kirby. Ever hear this from the previous head coach?

Smart and Company are in Athens to change the mistakes that have been made for many years. Say again, not fifteen years(15) ago, Goes way, way back.

Bleeding hearts have never understood "team". Smart and Company do. Kirby Smart is a smart coach, he also got his "degree" studying under "Professor Nick Saban".

Some might dismiss the above paragraph, in my opinion, keeps all of us "feeding out of the same trough" . . . . too long, it was time for "realization".

“There might be 80 to 100 players, but you rank every play 1 to 70. Well, who should be playing?” “The top 22 should be playing. It doesn’t always work that way, but you find out where your deficiencies are. If you’ve got three receivers in the top 10 and you’ve got no O-linemen, you’ve got a problem. You want to be balanced. We had our coaches do that. I’m not going to reveal what we found, but you see where our team is strong at.”

Enjoying much of the silence about a "Good Man". This is football, reason for 93K+ to enter Sanford Stadium. Appears to me that the scales have swung in the direction of "real football talk, and understanding." Add this . . . . Smart and Company are also "Good Men".

Have to add this . . . . Mark Richt will learn more from watching the changes in Athens and Fan Support than he spent 15 years being a "Good Man" and a "charming person" to those that "did not know". Talent was always there, missing part of team play was the head coach. Fact.

I swear I chuckle when I read how great Kirby is going to be since he studied under the MASTER. Mark richt had the same resume and he didn't satisfy the championship desire. FSU was a dadgum dynasty in the 90s. Top five finish in every season...

Kind of interesting looking back at the powers in college football.

Big time football is starting to feel like cycling a few years ago with lance Armstrong. Maybe like NASCAR to. The big boys play loose with the rules, and you got to play the game to be a big boy. All the stuff with ole miss and the bama coach just seems so slimy.

Scooby=troll

what a surprise....mentioning fans wanting a championship with the failure of richt...AGAIN.

Scooby, I'm tired of you saying this, so I'm officially calling you out---why do you keep posting the championship argument when I have replied repeatedly that is not why fans wanted him gone? Either address the many other points I (and many others) have pointed out for wanting richt gone or just stop posting here. It's getting ridiculous.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Having kept my eyes on this . . . .

Actually made me "chuckle" when reading the paragraph above. Comparisons sometimes have to be thought through carefully. Mark Richt as described above having worked for Bobby Bowden apparently did not catch on to the "MASTERS" teachings. Book is still out on Kirby Smart and what he will accomplish in Athens. False comparison at this point.

Have to agree with sadlerdawg. Favortism, would bet in that direction.

Go Dawgs :)
