I count 13 Black Folks in the entire photograph.

I look at the number of Black young men on our football team . . . . ?

Just asking a simple question . . . . could there be something wrong with the balance, or lack of?

EDIT: Looking around, every play for pay site has the arrest posted. I call BS. Best these aholes can do, guess so.

EDIT #2: This BS brings back memories of "Russ", Russ with the spots, not all white. Someone in Athens needs to wake the hell up. This will blow up in your face.

Cox media, need to take a close look at those gathering "Headlines". More than Cox, woods full of the "click boys".

I think it's crazy they arrested the young man for his "crimes"...

But,... The university has an African American population of 7.3%, and I'd guess lots more gals than guys in this 7.3. Football team is not a good cross section of the student population.

Football team is doing their part to increase diversity... But the biggest issue I see on the popo force is lack of Asian lady's if student ratio should drive percentages.

I'm just picking with you Buc. It really is crazy they cuffed the guy for no drivers license.

I got stopped when I was 20 or so and hadn't had my license in a long while. Had just lost my wallet and hadn't bothered getting a new license. Was still a legal driver. The officer just gave me a warning ticket and I had a small window of time to get a new license and find an officer to sign a form. No big deal. Would have been crazy to get arrested and cuffed for my "crime".

I didn't understand if this guy was a legal driver who had misplaced his license or a guy who never had a license. This should make a difference in his punishment, but still crazy to cuff him etc. I can assure you I wouldn't have been cuffed etc had it been me. Not sure if it's because of my pale skin or smooth talking, but no cuffs for sure.

An arrest made here was ridiculous.

I'm not saying it's right, but in Tuscallosa being pulled over for DUI might get you a ride in the cop
car... all the way to Saban's house.

Anyway... did some looking around.. Seems that this "arrest" at UGA got more national press than Richt's star RB arrest and suspension down in Miami. It was the 4th arrest of a Richt player in Miami this year, just for the record.... and not a one of them was for not having a license on them.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Mentioned yesterday that I had more to say.

For a long time there was a back and forth as to whether Richt was a top football coach in D1 especially.

Now Mark says that he is going to participate heavily in football practices, something he said he missed while at Georgia.

Simple fact . . . . Mark Richt was not prepared to take on the duties of running a program based on his skills.

Mark Richt was and is a offensive coordinator, might be he learned some things in Athens watching others that came up differently than he did, meaning the way he was taught.

Jeremy Pruitt hit the ground running. Did just exactly what was needed and missing in Athens. Players caught on quickly, it was Pruitt's way or the bench. When he said the way you practice decides your playing time on Saturdays, did not take the players long to understand he was all about what he said. Players respected him, many really did not want him to leave the Athens area.

Big difference in the way Bowden ran his program at FSU and the way Saban runs his program at UA.

Jimbo Fisher arrives and even though he is announced as a head coach in waiting, Jimbo ran the program from the minute he put his foot on the FSU Campus.

Think most of us know that we tend to mimic the way we are taught. Fisher having served under Saban has been very successful in Tallahassee. Fisher has won the National Championship since arriving in Tallahassee, did not take 15 years to do so.

I follow what is going on in South Florida closely, and Wartdawg is right, already there is a problem with player discipline. Said soon after Richt departed for Miami, folks down that way play to a different drummer. SouthernDawg understands, has witnessed the same.

Said more than once, I am glad that we have a coach that said to the Red and Black reporter(?) . . . . I am a coach of the entire football team. Actually Kirby Smart is doing something that other coaches have done . . . . he is bringing nine years or so of "specialized training" to Athens by way of Tuscaloosa. He knows the formula.
