Hope so. We'll find out real fast against Ole Miss whether or not the DAWG side of the east is toeing the line. That will be a statement game for CKS and Dawgs. Just hope it says the right thing!

rockdawg, spot on.

Believe we are far better off coaching wise, meaning from top to bottom. Winning and losing one thing . . . . quitting and losing has no place in our program . . . . any more.

Rockdawg, I'm gonna go ahead and say two things I am certain of.

1) IDK what our record will be in 2016.
2) We WILL beat Ole Miss. I know it because I have learned a bit over the years. "Back in the day" (20 years ago), I gambled on college football. Won more than I lost because I was fortunate to have a friend who had moved out west and helped run a casino. Learned stuff from him. The first thing I learned was too look at the schedule and figure who plays whom and WHEN.

Ole Miss plays FSU and Bama before they ever meet us. And they play Bama the week BEFORE they play us. I am willing to bet that if you bet against the team who played Bama the week before, you will have some $$. Bama beats teams up.

When we go to Oxford, Ole Miss will be a tired team. And they are losing tons of talent. NFL talent. Ole Miss has talent---but they don't reload like Bama does.

UGA wins that game easily.

Bulldog Shannon,

You are spot on with schedule considerations. I hope we can make the right statement. Under the previous regime, OM being beat up the week before would breed complacency at the coaching level. With the new management, I think it will trigger the killer instinct.

Regardless, with the current SEC scheduling, a lot rests on perceptions, and the perception haunting UGA right now is their getting blown out by 'bama last year, and appearing to either give up or choke in the second half.

If we beat OM, we create a new "east vs west" narrative, and begin to reclaim respect as a good SEC team, not just a good "east" team. I still remember the 08' bama opener against Clemson. Supposed to be a tight game and 'bama kicked them up and down the field. Kicking us around later that year only confirmed that they were a great team. Clemson was the start of the Saban run that continues to this day.

Thanks for the insight. That's why I keep coming back here to learn about the DAWGS.
