No doubt that the Alabama Gang has had a serious impact on Georgia Football.
Jeremy Pruitt while in Athens, brought in a former Auburn defensive coach and a defensive coach that at one time coached in Tuscaloosa.
Kirby Smart enters and he keeps two of the coaches that Pruitt had chosen. The two Kirby kept, coaches from Alabama.
I look back at the coaches that our previous head coach brought in, simple to decipher what the differences between Smart and Richt was/is.
The muddled picture in Athens gets clearer by the day. Especially when I can take some time and “look back” and analyze.
So often said . . . . we have so much talent in Athens, what is the problem? Problem came down to this, in my opinion.
Players moving to the college ranks from high school needed only to look at “results”. Alabama produced results, not just 8/9/10 win seasons, National Championships. If Alabama did not win the NC they either played in the NC or came in a close second or third.
Smart and Company know the way to get better. They have the formula. Jimbo Fisher used/uses the formula at FSU, continues to follow a proven path to have a chance to be a part of the Final Four. Say this . . . . Jim McElwain is doing the same thing with the gators. He also knows the formula. Said a few days back, the East Side of the SEC gets stronger by the day. There are going to be some games in the next two years on the East Side that ESPN and CBS will be after, big time. They like “numbers” . . . . ratings mean money.
The hoopla about our Special Teams was spot on. Hoopla is in the eyes of the beholder. I like the thoughts of hoopla being another step in the right direction, can be used the other way.
Greeny played the “Hoopla” game when pointing his finger at Kirby Smart.
Really like the way Dawgs.com has “huddled up” and came up with the winning “formula”. Some excellent members on this site, that “understand” how the plays should have been called for x number of years.
Go Dawgs, go Dawgs.com.
