Sometimes we wish more could see the changes that have been made in Athens, growl.

What is going on now is not "suck up". Changes are being recognized by many that live outside the borders of Georgia.

growl, do not believe that I have seen this much turn around in Athens in such a short time.

When I look closely at the hirings and firings from top to bottom, this was a "major overhaul". Not replacing spark plugs and points, know I am showing my age, but I sincerely hope that we have "fine tuned the engine". No longer do we have to set the points with a match book cover. That comes from time under Nick Saban and getting past "old techniques".

My opinion . . . . When Erk left for Statesboro, nothing in Athens has been the same. Thank you for your kind words SouthernDawg.

Cannot tell you growl how much Kirby Smart returning means to me. Thank you averagedawg. Some of us "understood". averagedawg has been on the "stump" for years.

Greg McGarity will "never" make a "better hire" than the Kirby Smart hire.

Have not been this positive about what I see happening under Smart and Company since . . . . Have tried, even with Richt. Some can and others wish. Feel like we were in quick sand and finally something happened to save us. We (UGA) needed a lifeline.

If Smart and Company cannot turn our program around . . . . there is little or no hope.

Add this . . . . Would love to see the #1 receiver in the numbers game sign on with Georgia. If he ends up with Stanford or Alabama, I will not lose one minute of sleep. If he looks at the current Smart and Company lineup, coaching wise and believes he can do better on the football field elsewhere, high fives to him. I am also impressed that he is about more than football, education is a plus, and I admire him for trying his best on the SAT's. Good on him and his family.

Long again, but I have been that way since I found my way to Dawgs.com. Don't see that changing.

Go Dawgs :)

Personally would love to see the #1 receiver get the score he wants and then decide where he wants to play ball. He's smart and is going to get a great education wherever he goes.

You are so right Buc, the excitement hasn't gotten close to the crescendo as far as I can tell. Every day is better and better!!!!!!!

Chief, maybe I should say thank you Smart and Company.

Really would like to see our program move in the direction that Alabama did soon after Saban and Company arrived.

Know this . . . . young men choosing to play in Athens will not be lied to. After that, these young pups will get coached on the football field no differently than taught in the classroom. It will be first rate.

Still believe that we (UGA) are one or two years away from being a team that those in the top ten recognize as being one of the top ten for a reason.

No more of this game that is played by the media for $$.

Internet continues to grow and gain respectability in "certain areas" and I believe that Dawgs.com will hold true to being respected. See a lot of growth here.

Hard for me to look back and honestly say that I have seen a changeover like the one I am witnessing now.

Also, hard to believe that young men do not want to remain in the State of Georgia. There are over 90,000 fans that will fill the seats every time there is a game between the Hedges. Times have changed and it makes this old dude happy to see the changes.

We will win some and lose some. After a year or two under this group of coaches, I do not believe we will ever be counted out, especially after lining up in Athens between the Hedges. I say that a lot, "Hedges", means a lot to me and many that I associate with.

growl, seems to me these young men report in to Athens, then make their way to the next "step". Say that for this reason . . . . there are no "gimmies" under this group of coaches.

Takes me back to the 1950's . . . . forget the past, here WE are.

When Smart and Company look these "recruits" over, "they" know what they expect. Most of all they know what "they" will have to do to get these young pups "Ship Shape".

Been a while coming, but . . . . here we are.

Go Dawgs :)

I'll tell you and anybody else that is listening Buc, "I am all in on this new staff".

They are light years above what we have been used to, anyone watching should see that.

I have not seen sweat yet, but know its coming.

Those that are going to be lining up for the Dawgs know its coming too and from the rhetoric are not scared, just ready

I think Kirby was an excellent hire.

Just scratch my head when you guys go on and on about Cheney and the ol guy. They worked together one year in arky and Cheney left for Pitt. Just a strange move. Arky has not been al that good the last few years. Mel tucker, who is never mentioned, seems a better hire than Cheney to me. Time will tell.

Wish ogre dawg still posted. That guy didn't drink cool aid. Uga ain't played a game and y'all are going gaga over the new coaches.
