Looking through the tweets KS put out to the 6 early enrollees. Noticed something that he is doing that may be his way of starting a trend to create pride in staying in state.
For those kids who are from Georgia, he ended each tweet to the players with #homeGROWN.
To each commit from out of state, he ended the tweet with #commit to the G"
I like the "homeGROWN" schtick. It lets the rest of the nation know we are sticking together and staying home.
Finished the Saban book on his "process". He is better than tghe Bear was for several reasons but since this post is not bout that I will not go into that. I will say to all the above posts who says KS will move McGarity to the side:
He DAMN sure will!!! He learned under NS and NS didn't put up with anything other than COMPLETE faith in HIS leadership. As a matter of fact, 1-2 times when he felt the SUITS didn't appreciate him, that is when he put it out there about another job.
Know this from the documented evidence in the book about NS: He HAD the Texas job and wanted the job but the main power guy at UT wanted Brown to resign and Brown refused to. Ony after NS signed his new deal, the very next day Brown resigned!
Here is what I take from that: UGA may be home to KS but if KS is not allowed to have everything he wants and he feels he is set up to fail, he will take a job like Bama/Texas/FSU/LSU if it ever opened up. He would want to stay at UGA of course, but if KS looks up in 4 years and finds that UGA is #1 in SEC revenue, but #12 in spending, that dawg won't hunt for KS.
Maybe GM will give 100% in to KS and if he does from here on, I will support GM staying as long as he wants to. IF GM is cheap, I'll be up his butt with letters (been several emailed to him from me).
