I thought this was interesting seeing where the five star guys ended up over the years and then seeing if they were drafted and what round.

Scooby, a lot to read. Good post.

Would be interesting to read what the 3 star athletes did and ended up after college.

Buc, I didn't really know exactly what the star rank meant. Got this from a site...

A five-star prospect is considered to be one of the nation's top 25-30 players, four star is a top 250-300 or so player, three-stars is a top 750 level player, two stars means the player is a mid-major prospect and one star means the player is not ranked.

Im sure there are politics in the rating system.

I found this article interesting too.

edit: both those articles are a few years old, but still interesting to me.

Good read. One thing that I found interesting, there were several areas of interest actually . . . . Clemson's area of stance in the 2014 cycle.

Now we see Clemson playing in the game that comes down to the "final two" in 2015. While they came up short, that group of players and coaches hit the big time and will be a hard "out" for anyone on their schedule. Frank Howard would be proud.

Takes me back to the same time in 2014 and where Georgia recruiting was placed.

This I know. Clemson, FSU, North Carolina rising "fast", the ACC is no longer to be ignored.

Can not say any clearer than this . . . . So glad that we now have a head coach that understands what "surrounds" Athens.

Larger than that . . . . a head coach that will do "things differently".

Great believer in history Scooby.

If not staying in Athens, try Commerce, Ga. Right off I-85 at hwy 129, which is a 25 minute drive from the Athens Loop

I have always stayed in Commerce for the games too, because it's about half as much as the rooms in Athens. However the rooms in Athens for G-day are fairly competitive.
I've booked one for G-day, which brings me to my next question--I went to one about 10 years ago and had to buy a $5 ticket...do they still sell tickets online or at the stadium or what?
Also everyone who is going from dawgs.com should try to meet up before or after the game.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!
