From where I sit, expand the playoffs from four to whatever number. Would get my interest for sure. At some point it will happen, though some of us might not be around to see it.
Thumbs up on this. There are far too many bowl games that don't mean a thing except that the schools get a windfall profit sharing check from the bowl sponsor, the players get goodie bags, and everyone gets to go on TV and be talked up by the commentators about how good their program and coaches are.
I, for one, miss the BCS ranking system. I'm not a fan of the playoffs, but rather than going on some long rant about the reasons I'm against the ridiculous playoffs, I'll just say that I agree with Buc. If the whole intent was to make it "fair" for all the conferences to get a shot at the big dance (it wasn't the intent), then expand the playoffs and seed all the conference winners, with 1 wild card spot for a qualifying conference or independent.
