I'm not saying Richt didn't want to win as I'm sure he always did, but there was this
overwhelming attitude that because there is more to life than winning and losing; losing was tolerated.
I am tired of losing being tolerated... I know it's going to happen, but it's your danged attitude about it... it's not "oh well, everything is okay.. we'll go get 'em next week"... it should be more of "it's not okay... it's not acceptable to perform like we performed... it will not be tolerated, and the coaches and the players vow that we will figure out what happened and make sure it never happens again"

You don't have to lose your integrity or morals to have that attitude...what you have to lose is your complacency.
It's attitude, and it's high time we go into football seasons and individual games with a changed one.
God Bless and Go Dawgs

Buc,
Keeping true to my promise to be entirely finished with the CMR stuff, I'll just keep it simple: Right you are sir.

Know the bleeding hearts out there will have something to say in the media about the downfall of the Red and Black with the current hire.
There are UGA fans and there are CMR fans. Those who want to put their G shirts back on, wipe the tears & mascara out of their eyes and get over the CMR departure are welcome to do so. Otherwise, there's a school that he's at that they can go cheer for. I could care less any longer about that side of "the house divided."
I have news for them: Kirby's here. It's high time for everyone to put their hurt feelings aside and get back to putting focus on the program that they supposedly support. The fact that we're even having to say something like that explains everything about where this program was at.

Wartdawg, this post is what I have come to rely on reading on this board. Spot on again, for sure.
I mentioned a couple of things in post #54 in this thread. Pulled the paragraph below, just wanted to back up what you and others have said here for a looooong time.
Typical post from this person, starts with "fluff" then shows his true feelings. AJC loves this "stuff".
I have no disrespect for Smart, and I hope he leads UGA to alot of success. But remember, unless he wins more than 10 games a year (because we know that 10 games isn't hard to do, since Richt did it so often) and wins an SEC title every other year (because we know how easy it is to win the SEC East, and we fired Richt because he didn't do it enough) and wins the National Title every four or so years (because its our birthright) then he has to be fired, or firing Richt didn't make sense.
He hopes that Kirby Smart leads UGA to a lot of success. To that I say sir, BS.
