Muschamp to South Carolina

I believe that Will Muschamp will be the next head coach of the Gamecocks.

Reason . . . .

Muschamp's DNA is not being a number 2, or a coach in waiting.

If he tones it down, he could make the SEC East a lot tougher.

Even though he and Kirby Smart are "pals", somehow does not make sense to move "laterally" when you have had the title of "head coach".

If Muschamp does leave Auburn, Gus Malzahn has his butt in a serious crack. Suits me.

Can Muschamp change some things, personality wise, I can't answer that. Too bad that Muschamp has been intent on destroying himself, especially with the football knowledge he has.

OK, I think Will Muschamp is the next head coach at South Carolina.

I certainly hope you're right because I really don't want to see Muschamp at UGA Buc.

However, I really think that if Muschamp had ooo'd and ahh'd SC, we'd have heard an announcement by now. He had an interview Wednesday morning, according to the gamecocks forum I was looking at. Whether that's right or wrong, I can't speak to that. I don't think it Muschamp ends up at SC.

Anyone hiring Muschamp to sit in the captain's chair at a formidable football program has to go into it with the understanding that he's a liability. He's about as volatile as ether and can auto-destruct and ruin a program at any time. SC needs to build a program with a coach who is sure to be in it for the long haul, who can attract recruits and build a stable and balanced system there. Do you honestly think Muschamp fits that criteria? I don't, and my bet is that neither do the folks up in Columbia.

You could be right though. We'll see.

Good post SouthernDawg, have found most of your posts to be very good. Again, strength of this board and seeing more and more folks move this way . . . .

Repeating, but . . . .

Dawgs.com Dawg Talk by seasoned Georgia Bulldog Fans.

You said . . . I certainly hope you're right because I really don't want to see Muschamp at UGA.

That statement is one that I can agree with.

Believe it will be next week, but fully expect to see Will Muschamp in Columbia, South Carolina.

Muschamp, with his football knowledge understands that Gus Malzahn has been figured out, Auburn is close to "spending" a lot of money "again" trying to correct the mess that exists in Auburn, Alabama. No way Muschamp works another year under Malzahn.

Hoping that Kirby Smart and Jeremy Pruitt can sit down and come to some agreement. Two really good football minds.

I think the only thing that Kirby would have to really focus on would be a "solid" offensive coordinator. There are a lot of OC's that would move to Athens in a "single heart beat".

Next week, every site in the State of Georgia will light up, all trying to be "first".

Looking forward to your "chatter" and some others that have been away for a while. Sooner or later the "cream rises to the top". ;) Much like it has with the hiring of Coach Kirby Smart. :)

EDIT: Don't be surprised to see Bryan McClendon leave for Miami. Some whispers that I am hearing. :(

SouthernDawg, I do believe that the Gamecocks are really disappointed that Smart made his way to the Classic City. Can understand that.

Gamecocks were "cocky" for a while there, but now they are a bit like Gus Malzahn at Auburn.

Pardon me on this . . . .

Both Universities have had their "feathers trimmed" . . . . I know, I know.

It was time for a Leader to move into Athens and utilize the talent that sorely needed "LEADERSHIP". Many on this board have used that word, with "meaning". This is not a site that looks down on posters, a solid site that will play the way anyone wants to play.

Yes, there are some "Butt Kickers" on this board. Another reason that many from the outside choose not to post here. BS does not work here. There are some like NC_Dawg that are not regular here that will have a lot of fun with "dimwits". Fact.

Right now, December 4, 2015, my only problem with UGA football is those above Head Coach Kirby Smart. Yes, they read this board, regularly. Need to wise up, there is a lot of traffic here that has been around UGA football longer than most of them have.

If WM goes to SC, any thoughts on who we get? Of course Pruitt is my first choice. Other than that?

Maybe Sherrar gets promoted from LB coach ?

Gene Chizik?

Mel Tucker? If JP goes to Bama, I believe he would take it. Used to be a DC in the NFL

Randy Shannon?

Tracy Rocker?

Just throwing some names out.
