sflanagan21, goes to show what a mess there has been in Athens.

I am thankful that we have changed head coaches, my guess is we were again late in our decision making.

Seems to me there is/was a lot of problems with McGarity, Richt and Mahogany Row. They, each of them and the Group on Mahogany Row continued to "fill their pockets" at our "we/fans" expense.

Question.

Why would Greg McGarity give Mark Richt a raise and extension on his contract? Does not sould like good bookkeeping or sound personnel management to me. But what the heck, get "most" of my information from second hand sources.

University of Georgia was and might still be in a larger mess than you and I know.

While it's possible we could lose a few recruits, don't forget that Kirby will bring a few 4-5 star guys with him that were committed to BAMA.....

I'll take BAMA's recruits all day long.

yd1....no pressure tomorrow so your choice of beverage my friend.

Not a doubt that there were some very hard feelings in Athens. Dates back a couple of years, came to a head just before the Belk Bowl.

Interesting, damn right INTERESTING.

Buc, if I'm CMR, I'm going after every UGA recruit without a doubt. Certainly can't blame him.

Just hope Kirby brings 4-5 BAMA recruits with him.

wlayton shows just what was going on for too long. Can't blame Richt for recruiting young men that he has visited with in their living rooms. Richt and McGarity are not friends. Fact.

Caption for the photo below . . . .

Mark Richt Happy to be Home. Happy for you Mark, and for UGA Football.

You had a very good home in Athens for a long time.

EDIT: Willie Martinez a graduate of the "U" and personal friend, any chance he becomes a part of your staff? Just asking. Your choice to replace BVG.

yankeedawg1 and thriller, truly believe on this board some of us have been together long enough mixed with some newcomers that are spot on many times, not easy to get away with too much on Dawgs.com.

Facts and correctness mean a lot here.

I say the above because not unlike thriller said, looking around at different sites, still see the same arguments going on by some of the same people about the same things. Hard for folks to accept change, change that has a strong possibility of improving not only Georgia football, improving the fan base as well.

Kirby Smart is not coming to Athens no knowing, he knows. If he falls flat on his face, for sure he will be called on it here.

If those above him support what he can and will do, stay the heck out of the way, football will change drastically in the Classic City. Nick Saban also knows and will miss Kirby Smart.

Young man from Bainbridge, Georgia now will have his time in the "spotlight". He is ready.
