From Athens- Friday Thoughts

Good Day All,

To say it has been an interesting week would be an understatement.

The chatter here on the street has been very active.

By Wednesday most of the people that I have spoken with have come to accept that a change was needed for all parties.

Move on an embrace the opportunity…….

Worked overtime to get the café open and stocked for the first sit-down……BPS

Again a….BIG….. Welcome to Athens CKS….. and wishing the very best to you in your new opportunity…. I am sure you will find Dawgs.com and excellent read of the pulse of true knowledgeable Dawg fans.

Depending who becomes our OC it would appear that the QB competition will be reopened…… FB has a smile on his face as he has another do-over with fresh eyes……

Looking at the possibility of running a spread read offense…..I think TG will get a look also…smart kid with fast wheels……

Do think we will break a crowd record for the next G-game….. Lord willing I plan to have a look see…..

JE’s promise to start may have hit a bump with CMR departure……

Don’t really care if he comes or goes…… yes we may lose recruits but will make my RC cola and Moon Pie bet that with CKS and his new staff who won’t look like the gang who couldn’t shoot straight….

We will flip some big name to come to Athens….. plus keep the “D” players who have committed... whoever is our DC he will not be a clone of Willie WTF.. Or Towel Toddy this I know…

I would say that the talent CKS finds here and what is coming in…he has a better first hand that did the new coach at UF had last January….

Buc…. Me thinks you at last have a HC who will listen and understand when you call to them ….. Coach’m up……

Good to see some folks returning to the fray…..bottom line the more and different thinking that gets covered here the stronger we will be….

yankeedawg having been around Georgia football for a few years, can say that Kirby Smart has put a smile on my face. What is not to like about a graduate of UGA and one heck of a player in the "arena".

Agree totally with your statement about Kirby Smart coming to Athens and it is a far cry from the way muschamp left Jim McElwain in Florida. Meaning talent.

I believe that the right decision was made to "again" invade Tuscaloosa for football coaches that understand what the SEC is all about.

Will stop, have more to say, but what is new . . . .

Just this . . . . Kirby Smart understands what "Coach'em Up" means. Been missing in the Classic City for far too long. It was time for a "new cup of coffee" and someone that knows how to mix a serious "Bloody Mary".

One more thing yd1 . . . . Wondering about Rob Sale. Know that Jim McElwain will hire him in a heartbeat.

Going to be real interesting to see where our current

Coaches land...as well as who the the new guys are

Wouldn't be surprised to see a few players transfer

As early playing time will be in question with new coaches

Still comes down to who wants to wear the G. and

Maybe we'll get somebody to play QB or at least use someone who was actually recruited by UGA at one time or another. Maybe CKS will convince a good one to commit to the G. Go Dawgs!!!!

I am glad the conversation finally changed and we are talking about the Dawgs without the other problems.
