Good post gillette.

thriller posted in another thread yesterday, some of the information I knew a little about, but the post stuck with me and I took a look around and came up with this. There is much more, but there are some "real facts" in the article below.

Also, find it interesting that the Business Editor of the AJC is looking into Georgia football and the economics of same. Worth reading if there are some that have not.

I left the article with this feeling . . . . Many on this board understand and have said many of the same things for quite a while.

Pulled this paragraph from the article. Reminds me of what yankeedawg1 said opening this thread.

If you go to a sandwich shop and order a turkey on sourdough to go, then take a bite and find out the bread is stale, there’s a decent chance you won’t go back. If it happens often, sales will drop off.

Not much game talk here. Sad sign of the program at UGA.

"I agree that the solution is above Scrooge….. I have no clue who lurks in the shadows pulling the money strings…" said YD1.

All this while the fans are the last thing on their greedy minds.

Kentucky will come to town, smell blood and beat the tar out of us. I said that and am not happy with it but I am tired of being a looser. Facts are facts.

GoDawgs!!!

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

Steve you touched the truth nerves..... Focusing on the

Money......instead of the game.....

Win or lose money will flow thanks to M & M and others who own college football

Winning is optional....that's the Georgia Way

Row sweating......don't want to see a down turn in

Earnings...... Some where NCdawg is sipping his single malt with a Bluto smirk.... Told ya.... He is not alone...

Thanks for the words on the bps

And yes Go Dawgs. For those who will pull on the pads for their last game between the hedges

Go Dawgs!

Thanks as always yd1....with the weather up there, looks like Irish coffee in the morning for you. Again, my treat.

My guy came in my office this morning and said he was talking with his sources and they feel Pruitt is gone at the end of the year.

Now, because of that, who would come to UGA as the new DC if they feel it would probably only be for a year with what's going on up there. So.....they think if Pruitt is fired at the end of the year and an implosion is starting, then it would be THE time to fire CMR and bring in a whole new regime.

Also mentioned if CMR doesn't win out he's probably gone anyway.....plus looks like Ramsey may start tomorrow

Guess we'll see..........and soon.

Buc, great "get" on that AJC business article. It says a lot of the things we've been talking about lately, corroborates just about everything we've discussed and fills in a few more details.

Business.

Notice that between the top 3 teams for profitability, only Notre Dame is still "in it" this year. $$$$$ ≠ Success. At least not necessarily.

It's not "how much you've got" - it appears to be "what you do with it" that counts.

$$$$$ can make people VERY cautious, VERY conservative. And I think UGA has long ago gotten that way.

I've been listing some coaches, some not so serious, some DEAD serious, who could lift our program to that final level. Tom Herman is sitting pretty high on my list for now.

southcarolina.247sports.com/Article/Tom-...on-Cougars--40773027

But even if we can't get him, there are PLENTY of names out there. And that excellent article you pointed to, Buc, shows that it doesn't MATTER who the coach is . . . Dawgs WILL pack that stadium for MANY years to come.

Nothing would bring in more $$$$$ like more wins.
