If we really ARE the #7 team in the nation - what should the outcome of this game be this weekend? Seventeen sounds pretty low. If the #7 team in the nation plays a team that just got beat at home, by Kentucky, and lost their QB for the season, and gets to play that team AT HOME, what SHOULD the score be? If this was any OTHER two schools, coached by any OTHER two coaches, I'd say Highly-ranked-team 48 - Unranked-team 6.
I see us winning - just not sure how easily. SS probably lost last week because they've prepared for this game since last March, and they were looking ahead. He probably has analyzed literally EVERY available film clip on Greyson Lambert going back to Pee Wee league, and knows how fragile this kid is upstairs. They'll put 9 in the box and the starters this week on the D-Line were determined by height and arm reach.
Their defensive game plan is probably:
1. Somehow, someway, get UGA into 3rd and long. Nine or more in the box on 1st down.
2. Sling all kinds of crazy formations and blitzes at Lambert. Use bizarre alignments and coverages to spook him.
3. Try to make sure at least his first two passes are incomplete, AT ALL COSTS. That'll have his head swimming in doubt. "Here we go again".
4. This may be strategy number 1 - SPEED UP THE GAME - you stay in it much longer that way.
Nevertheless - Chubb is too much, followed by MORE too much in Michel, followed by MORE too much in Marshall, followed by MORE too much in Douglas, and even MORE too much in Turman.
So I'm predicting something like UGA 24 - 'Cocks 20.
Trenton Thompson - where are you?
