Depth Determines Football Games

When I hear or read head coaches on the high school level referring to Pruitt and others now in Athens . . . . does not take long to understand that there have been some positive changes in Athens.

Could cover my head and preach "gloom and doom" one thing that hits the positive side is the "now". Have bitched about Erk Leaving Athens for a while, frees me up to say that there is a group of coaches in Athens that have a "solid background" in speaking/recruiting high school players. That has been a "lost cause" prior to the Classic City since the "Alabama Gang" arrived. Damn right I said that.

There have been positive changes.

Things are headed in the right direction.

Of those things, I have no doubt.

I'm just wary fellows... we've said these things before, and that's a gospel fact and we all know it.

Anyway... like I said, don't get me wrong...things are on the upswing due to the influx of people trained elsewhere and not named Mark Richt. Hopefully this time after so many tries we will have hit upon the right combination.

I have never said "we can't", but as long as look up and see him on the sideline I will have some feeling in the back of my head that at some point the other shoe will drop.

Anyway... I never say never and I live and love the oval G. I think we've got great talent on the field and a lot of great coaches.
