dawgs_fans_dad appears that you and NC_Dawg share some of the same thoughts.

You said . . . . Wait and see/Prove it on the field is still the right position, but what I saw that I liked last year was fewer, way fewer, missed tackles and fewer, way fewer, stupid penalties by the Defense.

There was a lot of grumbling about the game in JAX. One thing that came out of that game is as you described it above. That loss really hit home, and that includes Pruitt removing himself from staying away from the press to making a open statement on his part. Both coach and players made strides forward later on. Coach Pruitt did not dodge the truth as some of our coaches have done in the past and quite frankly recently.

Noticed at one point in the video that Dean Legge and Coach Pruitt went eyeball to eyeball, with Legge saying to Pruitt that he is the BMOC at Dawg Post. Who gives a spit Legge?

Word on the IPF is making its way around the web. Mac and Moorehead saying the site near

Current practice fields looks to be the one being talked about the most

And....it will carry a price tag of 30 plus mill. Mac says no compromise we will do it

Right it us going to be here for a very long time.... my simple math tells me that is

Twice what Foley and the Jorts are building...it is going to be like Jerry World...

CJP wanted a recruiting tool well try that on for the Wow factor

As you were saying Buc..Row looks to be ready to up the ante

Go Dawgs!

Will try hard not to be too negative.

Remembering the conversatons here and on other sites, I now hear the word "quick and quickly" being used by the Public Relations arm trying to get out front on the issue of the IPF.

Jeremy Pruitt comes to town, speaks out and here we are. Ever wonder where the IPF project would be at this point had not Pruitt said, get in tune if we want the Georgia football team to compete on an annual basis.

My thoughts are the IPF would not be in the discussion(s) at this point. Is that just me? Go back and read some of the comments prior to Pruitt speaking out. Much talk by the media about Georgia football under Mark Richt being at best a "middle of the pack SEC football team". Richt's rating among those that seem to know more about football than some of us . . . . Somewhere in the middle when rated among the SEC football coaches.

Now we see where everyone in Athens is busting their butts. McGarity and "quick" the two do not go together. I do remember a pissed off McGarity, pissed off at Pruitt for saying . . . . want to win Athletic Director, better get your butt into the "vault" and start shoveling the coins that were put there by those other than "you".

From where I sit . . . . we are getting a Indoor Practice Facility (at some point) because Pruitt had the brassies to step out and get the fans attention, therefore making a Public Relations nightmare for Mahogany Row. Doubt this, do some research, not hard to find the "truth".

30 million eh? Someone in Athens needs to keep a constant eye on McGarity's blood pressure.

Going to add this. The 30 million figure does not impress me. Are they trying to let us know (now) some of the "inside" goings on? Public Relations is doing their job of trying to let us know that we, you and I don't "understand" McGarity and those that are also involved in the IPF decision making.

Bet this. Pruitt could care less about the 30 million dollar figure being tossed around today by virtually every site that is alive with the number. Pruitt wants a indoor facility that he can use for teaching and walking potential recruits through. Not every IPF in the SEC matches what Alabama has in terms of "having everything".

Public Relations trying to move the conversation away from Pruitt and give Richt all of the credit.

If we get real about this SEC football thingy, a lot of SEC universities have IPF's. Not all are winning National Championships. A simple fact . . . . The Georgia IPF is another tool that coaches like Pruitt/Rocker and Company will use to build what many of us have wanted since Herschel Walker departed. Again, 14 years without a facility, new defensive coordinator in town, Mahogany Row moving "quickly" to build one.

Anyone not believe what Pruitt had to say about needing an Indoor Practice Facility . . . . Check Alabama's recruiting rankings in "college football" the past several years, then compare those rankings to UGA football. All Pruitt was/is doing is saying . . . . want to compete, here is something that Georgia can do . . . . Pruitt is about winning games, not like the group on Mahogany Row, they are all about money, "our money".

Anyone that doubts for a minute that Jeremy Foley stepping out and making sure everyone in the gator nation understands he is still the athletic director that McGarity served ten years under. Think about that. Florida's IPF "will" be completed in 2015. My definition of "quick and quickly".

Only reversal I want to see is an SEC Championship. Period. The rest will take care of itself. Talk is all I have heard for the last 2 years and frankly I am damn tired of it.

SEC Champs or nothing....

Believe that there are at least two young players coming in the 2015 Class that will make a marked improvement on the defense ogredawg. Trenton Thompson and Jonathan Ledbetter. Should cut down on the rushing yards given up last season. Those two added to "many" that are in Athens, defense should be much better.

Seems most are worried about quarterback play in 2015. My main concern about the offense is the "center position". Differing views about who the center will be. My opinion, more important than the quarterback of choice, a center that can come close to picking up where David Andrews left off.

Many (talking heads) seem to think that Tennessee is going to be in contention. Say this . . . . Tennessee beats us in Knoxville, going to be interesting reading the posts day after the game. Your Game Day Thread will go off of the charts with "views" . . . . no doubt.

Auburn, getting a lot of press, but they also have some holes to fill. Seems now the media folks are trying to make more out of Auburn than I see. Muschamp has always been around solid football players, with the exception of his selections and coaching manner in Florida. Texas when Muschamp was there were getting the cream of the crop. There is also a "thing" going on in the State of Alabama. Anyone that believes that Muschamp will get the athletes that Kirby Smart gets and will continue to get, think again. The "thing" I refer to . . . . Muschamp is not and has not been one of Nick Saban's closest hires.

Saturday, October 3rd we will entertain Alabama between the Hedges again. Think most of us remember the last time Saban and Smart came to Athens. Alabama also has holes to fill, they however since Saban took over in Tuscaloosa have understood the value of building depth. It is a truism, Alabama this day and time reload, not rebuild. All any of us on this side of the Chattahoochee have to do is look at the names that have signed on with Saban/Smart in the past five years. Incredible talent that has all needed facilities and leadership to never face rebuilding. Facts are simply that, facts.

Three hurdles that have to be recognized and prepared for, teams mentioned above. Not just 2015, years and years after that, for sure. About time some on Mahogany Row got their heads out of their butts, "if" that has started for "real".

Teams mentioned above, like us, have holes to fill. We will find out in 2015 which team is best at that. Ain't no place to hide if you are the head coach at any of the universities referred to above.

ogredawg, would like to see us in the Final Four, like you I would first like to see us win the SEC Championship again. Do that, Final Four should be a no brainer.

End with this. Notice that Georgia Tech has a long list of players signed in 2015 that the writers have given 3 stars. Truthfully, most of the players on the GT side in 2014 were 3 star players or less. What?
