Buc... you said "thoughts?"

You also had just written this: "Here is hoping that those in charge of the talent in Athens and those that will soon bunk there reach heights that are not prevented by some of the mistakes made in 2014, referring to the 3 losses primarily. No excuses."

My thoughts are simple and I've expressed them to the point that no one wants to see me rehash them all again. All I will say is I hope a lot to, but I doubt the mistakes of 2014 (and 13, and 12etc)are over with, and I'll leave it at that.

I do however share your "hope".

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Wartdawg, I would argue the point of no one wanting to see you rehash the truth.

When we allow ourselves to be "pigeon holed", nothing good comes from that, especially when it involves simple internet disagreements.

From you I picked up the phrase "No Excuses". Time to time use it, why, because refusing to be pigeon holed on one side of the issues.

Have been on the Richt side, twice, where did that get me, back at the starting line. Why should I "want" Mark Richt to be "my" head coach, I only speak for "myself", he does not fit my idea of a "overall leader".

Can see some changes on this board, said that recently. The Public Relations Department is very good at "working issues", and WE HAVE ISSUES, still.

In Mark Richt's 14th year as head coach, he still made glowing errors. What really gets my attention are folks pretending this just started, and in 2015 it will not happen again. Those folks need to be real with themselves, happens with Richt every year.

Nothing wrong with forgiveness, strongly believe in same. Just how many times though do I have to turn the other cheek? Twice was enough for me.

Time now for as you have often said, NO EXCUSES.

Pruitt did not make excuses when the gators kicked our butts . . . . that is the difference in the Public Relations led people on the forgiving side that prop up the Row and all that make a living there.

Pruitt/Rocker and Company don't as they have proven in the 2014 Season do business as usual. Example of that . . . . Pruitt basically called McGarity out on the IPF and Richt played his usual role for a few days . . . . silence. In public relations terms, Richt was carefully watching the polls, and again he read the wrong poll. What did McGarity do immediately after the Pruitt statements . . . . threw Mark Richt under the bus. Fact.

Edit: Wartdawg pulled this from another thread on this board. Part of what I said above was based on you mentioning this . . . .

I hope they can overcome the issues, and I wish them the best of luck in their endeavors. I'll add this as well... I'm
not just talking about Richt here. There are more issues than him.. I sometimes wonder if he is the problem, or just a symptom of a bigger one in the background.

Try this one on for size . . . .

Another Monday morning thought from where I sit.

Nick Saban allowing Taylor to wear the Crimson Tide Uniform.

Like it or not, this is what I gather from the decision.

Last two swings at the National Championship, Saban has come up short (yes I know he is 5 feet nothing).

Saban's DNA will not allow a lot of that to continue. Never doubt for a minute that meyer winning, and that is the way Saban views Ohio States victory in the Sugar Bowl, does not eat at him, big time.

Nick Saban hears some of the rumbling about the SEC getting it handed to our conference, and let us face it, Nick Saban is supposed to be “all that”, the “king” of college football.

2015 Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide will roll ( :whistle: ) into Athens. The way the committee selects the final four, if you don't believe, better start. Committee favors “butt kickings”.

Anyone remember Nick Saban calling his players off the last time they played between the Hedges? I do, and he did. 2015, Nick Saban/Kirby Smart will not be in the same mood. Bet that.

So, is our head coach going to be ready, have our football team ready in 2015 to face the challenge? After all, Mark Richt is our leader, correct? meyer beat Saban with a third string quarterback, and fewer star players. Does Mark Richt in his 15th year get “another pass”? Just asking, and I think it is a valid question.

Things that I think about . . . .

As hard as it is to type these words, if UM and OSU wins the NC tonight, I have to put him as Saban's EQUAL on the CF best coaches list .....hate to admit it but UM is one very good coach.

wlayton, :sick: totally understand. You and I both know of "some things" that occurred in Gainesville that the press was "afraid" to bring forward. After leaving the gators, there were some that found the backbone to mention the trashy part of his rule. The below was "one instance".

The only reporter in Florida that had the backbone to stand face to face with urban meyer was Mike Bianchi of the Orlando Sentinel, that was before meyer left Gainesville.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If only Urban's Gators had taken Rainey's threats against women seriously.
Mike Bianchi | Orlando Sentinel Columnist
4:28 p.m. EST, January 13, 2013
I never thought I'd see the day where the NFL would take a stronger stance on player discipline than our intercollegiate institutions of higher earning, er, learning.
Then again, when Urban Meyer is involved, it's not really so surprising.
Former Gators running back Chris Rainey was cut by the Pittsburgh Steelers after being arrested for allegedly hitting his girlfriend last week.
Yes, the same Chris Rainey who threatened to kill his girlfriend via his infamous "Time to die" text message at UF three years ago. UF originally suspended Rainey, but Meyer allowed him back on the team a few weeks later so he could help the Gators win a big game against Georgia.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Guess the above takes me to this . . . . Now Nick Saban is repeating history. Winning football games at any cost. Alabama needs those big bodies on the defensive line, like urban meyer needed Rainey's speed to beat Georgia.

Taylor I am guessing has now been "cured" for the disease that caused him to hit his girlfriend and return to play football. I call BS on Nick Saban.

Yes, I know that Richt did the right thing, and I am thankful for that. Just needs to get the rest of his "game" together.

Edit: Is Nick Saban now following in urban meyer's footsteps? Win at all costs, right?
